The Role
The Process Engineer will be responsible for optimizing refinery and petrochemical operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting process improvements. This role involves conducting feasibility studies, troubleshooting process issues, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance efficiency within BAPCO’s operations.

The key objectives for this role are:
- Develop and optimize process designs for refinery and petrochemical operations.
- Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and process modeling to improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (API, ASME, ASTM) and environmental regulations.
- Support troubleshooting efforts for process-related issues and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project engineers to enhance performance.
- Assist in project execution, including FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and detailed engineering phases.
- Implement best practices for energy efficiency and sustainability in process operations.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Develop and refine process designs to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Technical Support: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including operations, maintenance, and project engineers.
- Safety & Compliance: Conduct risk assessments (HAZOP, HAZID) and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Project Management: Oversee process engineering aspects of new projects and modifications.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution.

Expected:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in process engineering within the oil & gas sector.
- Strong expertise in refinery operations, petrochemical processes, and process optimization.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, or equivalent).
- Experience with safety and risk assessments (HAZOP, HAZID).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
