Key Roles & Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate the workforce and equipment (such as mobile cranes, forklifts, etc.) working in the Rigging Department
• Identify training and request training for riggers and scaffolders to support other production sections. Being in-charge for all HR related matters of the Department.
• Ensure scheduled activities are executed on time, as per quality Standards and with highest customer satisfaction
• Ensure Quality checks and process are implemented at all the times in the relevant workshop
• Verify budgeted hours vs actual are within limits imposed by Planning Department/Senior Coordinator Planning.
• Manage and coordinate workshop facilities/equipment daily maintenance and upgrade and/or development
• Act as point of reference for the management for the activities related to the related workshop
• Search for best spare parts, negotiate prices, conduct price comparisons and raise requests with Procurement Dept. as and when required. Ensure proper selection of consumables and spare parts for the procurement process.
• Act as a coach to subordinates, identify their the weak points and career development, recommend training courses and follow-up their personnel records such as timesheets, discipline, vacations, leaves and absenteeism.
• Implement and actively enforce compliance to work processes.
• Scaffold materials are properly identified and stacked in a way and ensure a stable base is set on the ground to erect scaffolding safely
• Supervision of modification or alteration of scaffold is done with proper authorization and give proper instructions to scaffold builder and well organized.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Professional Qualification:
• Engineering Degree.
• Mathematical skills for calculating measurements when building scaffolds will be an advantage
Professional Experience:
• Experience in controlling operations relating to critical works and time schedules.
• Minimum 5-10 years in the field and handling large workers teams.
• Shipyard experience will be preferred.
Geographic Experience:
N/A
Computer Skills:
Hands on experience on MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
Language Skills:
English, Hindi & Arabic (desirable)
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:
Local contacts and know how is desirable.
