Account Manager - Logistics and Supply Chain, DP World, Jeddah, KSA

Key responsibilities:

Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships

Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet targeted revenue increase

Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly container volume results and annual forecasts)

Initiate smart solution to help the company to tab into new opportunities, empowering automation and digitization

Overseeing customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit 

Serve as the direct point of contact with assigned clients to ensure prompt and accurate service to exceed client expectations.

Managing clients’ needs, including overseeing all operational and account management tasks throughout the lifecycle of any engagement.

Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors

Demonstrate critical thinking and make key decisions on behalf of our clients throughout the lifecycle of our service.

Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed

Follow up with clients and make visits to client locations.

Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives

Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

Maintain and help creating company’s policies related to credit, pricing, account management and required service deliveries

Maintain and organize all records for a client’s transactional event(s).

Stay informed on various legal requirements to maintain compliance with local regulations

Perform other related duties as assigned

Promote and demonstrate positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principals.

Accountable for leading, mentoring and team engagement.

Providing direction, promoting collaboration and ensuring the team are enabled to achieve goals and objectives of the business

Measure and monitor performance against critical criteria, policy and guidelines established by DP World

Ensure compliance to DP World, Environment, Health, Safety, Security & IT policies and procedures.

Understand and adhere to DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies

Ensure adherence to DP World standards and policies.

Ensure data security is maintained to protect the privacy and interest of clients and key stakeholders.

Manage team of professionals and disseminating knowledge through continuous learning and development.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the line manager.

Job requirements:

Qualifications: Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in business administration or relevant and certification in statistics or economics.

Experience: 12 to 14 years in in Marketing, Trade, Product management from within the ports or shipping industries. Candidates with GCC experience will be preferred Previous

Competencies and skills:

Business acumen: identify key revenue and cost drivers and understand their impact on an overall business case

Financial analysis: understand and evaluate complex financial models to determine the accuracy of projections

Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel & Word)

Excellent interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and confidence to operate in a customer-centric manner and advanced in English

Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy. Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures. Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information. Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, and/or computers. Prepare, maintain, audit, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables. Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified. Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements according to company procedures. Follow-up and resolve past due accounts and vendor invoices until payment in full is received or resolved.

 

Coordinate tasks and work with other departments; serve as a departmental role model or mentor; assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they meet appropriate quality standards. Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

What you'll be doing  

Manage areas such as stockrooms or corporate libraries

Assist in confidential correspondence, reports, and other complex documents

Review incoming calls and memos, submissions, and reports and forward them to the proper parties

Maintain the filing system of master archives

Assist the Administrative Officers and Manager in various projects

Provide support to project leaders and teams

Assist in maintenance of databases related to specific projects or tasks

Conduct research and prepare statistical reports, documents and presentations

Ensure the periodic replenishment of all stationary and groceries

Ensure proper tracking of requisitions, contracts, and orders

Participate in relevant projects and community activities as and when needed
