Roles and Responsibility
Credit Analyst
Job Purpose:
Assist Corporate Credit manager in performing the credit functions related to corporate segment, specialized in Restructuring and Rescheduling, i.e. NPLs and near to NPLs, Problematic accounts, analyse & recommend
acceptance/rejection of credit proposals.
6-7 years of Credit experience specialized in Restructuring and Rescheduling
Experience with credit scoring system.
Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with the credit policies and
guidelines.
Jobholder will discharge his responsibilities within the policy guidelines and
instructions given by Head of Corporate Credit/ CCO
Jobholder’s recommendation will be critical to the decision making process.
Credit Risk Evaluation:
- Manage a set of assigned portfolio of high value, large sized clients engaged
in diversified business activities. Financial impact (Credit impairment
and/or losses) of this job is medium to high.
- Direction, review, comment and seek approval as per delegation matrix
where a credit decision is required, escalate the application to Head of
Corporate – Credit
- Ensure compliance with credit policy, regulatory directives procedures,
TAT, SLAs and bank-wide guidelines.
- Analyse financial statements in order to evaluate credit quality and
portfolio risk.
- Understand inherent risks involved in credit proposal related to industry
outlook and general parameters.
- Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with the credit
policies and guidelines.
Credit Process Management:
- Efficiently process applications and meet within turnaround time.
- Carry out timely identification of undue risk elements and relate to the
concerned area and seek corrective action or rejection of application.
- Assist in preparation of high quality deliverable – credit assessments,
presentations or Reports.
- Assist in developing predictive models for Risk parameters.
- Prepare of “Facility Approval Letter” and letters to business.
Credit Portfolio Management:
- Knowing Macro level analysis of credit portfolio and presenting the
required reports ( business industry sector/ obligor level / NPL )
- Knowing ECL and staging under IFRS9 and central bank regulation for
provisions
Moody’s Risk Analytics (MRA) usage:
- Internal rating process and analysis.
- Provide support to any enhancement, customisation or development of
MRA or any software application for financial spreading, modelling and
portfolio reporting.
Provide effectiveness Leadership:
- Provide effective leadership to ensure a better performance management
and an effective workplace give the multicultural environment.
Special Projects:
- Work on technology and credit related initiatives as required.
- Training, and mentoring of Emirates staff.
- Responsible for monitoring and guiding team members on any special
assignments / projects handled by the team to ensure their timely execution
/ completion.
