Technology Support Engineer, Al Jazeera Media Network, Doha, Qatar

Summary:

Provide first-line support for all Aljazeera user-base for user-facing hardware, software, desktop, enterprise and broadcast applications. Coach and mentor engineers and lead by example.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform, review, and confirm preventive maintenance performed for critical systems to avoid On air output service interruption

Setup, configure, maintain user’s accounts and passwords (functional accounts, distribution groups, etc.)

Prepare & write IT knowledge base articles and other documentations

Provide immediate support for calls and critical areas (on-Air and web online users, Galleries, Presenters, Studios) with minimal service interruption.

Setup and maintain critical IT devices used by field journalists and external bureaus to ensure business continuity and provide support remotely when required

Respond to end user Incidents and Requests and ensure all calls are logged, updated and closed accurately as per agreed Service/Operational Level Agreements (SLAs/OLAs).

Coordinate with vendors for repairing faulty IT equipment and ensure critical On-Air devices are replaced and fixed on timely manner.

Manage and participate in projects related to the section as needed.

Key Requirements:

Bilingual (Arabic & English)

Bachelor of Science in I.T or related field; ITIL Foundation certification preferred

2 years of experience in IT related field

Knowledge in IT technologies, networking and various operating system setup, configurations and technical support skills

To plan, manage and control KAPSARC’s accounting related processes, including implementation of accounting policies and financial systems, leading monthly consolidation activities and supervising the postings on GL and reconciliation activities to ensure timely completion of all activities, whilst ensuring accuracy and alignment with accounting principles and frameworks.

Major Accountabilities

Monitor the account payables and receivables related activities, in order to ensure that the payable and receivable balances are regularly reviewed and cleared before year end.

Verify and review the reconciliation of transactions and bank statements, in order to ensure that all payments and accounts are matched and reconciled regularly and to ensure an updated general ledger.

Verify and review the transaction flows and set-up enabled for posting transactions to KAPSARC’s general ledger and ensure that financial accounting transactions are accurately and properly reflected in the accounting books in accordance with accounting procedures, regulatory requirements, and any other relevant international accounting standards and practices.

Carry out accurate endorsing/ approvals of invoice payment authorizations, payment vouchers, cheques, bank instructions and other related financial documentation, in order to facilitate timely processing of payments as per as KAPSARC financial and accounting policies.

Monitor and ensure the timely execution of all the closing activities for KAPSARC, on a monthly basis in line with accounting policies and procedures to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and reflect the financial standing.

Collaborate with the finance team in debottlenecking the month end processes in order to achieve error free and timely monthly closing.

Assist in the completion of audits for KAPSARC by ensuring a thorough review of financials and reporting of any discrepancies to ensure timely completion of audits and implementation of audit results in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Design and implement best practice accounting systems and processes including closing check lists and closing processes, chart of accounts, time sheets, financial policy manual, monthly flash reporting and analysis etc., to ensure seamless management of financial processes.

Remain abreast with the latest IFRS and other laws and regulations, in order to ensure that work output is in conformity with accepted practices.

Develop detailed financial reports for key stakeholders including budget, key metrics, forecast, etc., in collaboration with other relevant teams, in order to ensure that financial reports are developed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.

Review and ensure the proper generation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for KAPSARC, in order to ensure correct, consistent and timely submission to relevant stakeholders/ entities.

Prepare presentations for various stakeholders including senior management, Board Audit Committees, and Board of Directors, to provide an overview of the financial health of KAPSARC.

Job Description

Position: Administrative Assistant – Asset Development based in NEOM

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for Providing general administrative assistance to the Delivery & Innovation Division for asset development with a specific focus on document control and plan of work coordination functions including but not limited to:

Organise, maintain and guarantee the correct filing of deliverables in the Department Sharepoint

Support the re-organization and upgrading of Department wide Knowledge Management restructuring

Organise, maintain and guarantee the correct naming of deliverables in the Department Sharepoint as well as in the ACONEX System

Organise, maintain and guarantee the correct naming of other proponents or sectors deliverables for Stage Gate Approvals or as Collected data in the Department Sharepoint

Control and ensure that information circulation follows the established protocol or Project Communication Management prior external circulation or Stage Gate Approval

Control that documents are edited as per latest NEOM Corporate standards and templates and use of logo is appropriate

Coordinate and manage meetings, workshops and other engagement functions required by the Division

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

The Administrative Assistant should be skilled in:

Project Administrative Assistant

Document Controlling

AIA / RIBA standards knowledge is a plus

NEOM ETSD standards

ACONEX, BIMs, SharePoint and similar information management systems

Ability to work with fixed deadlines, leadership, proactively solution oriented, team work capability in multicultural teams, attention to details, ability to work in challenging environments The role will require:

Demonstrated 5+ years experience in similar roles, with a focus of quality planning and control, document controlling, knowledge management for engineering – infrastructure - multidisciplinary projects.

Experience in the region preferred

Strong written and verbal communication & report writing skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's in engineering, Management, or Business Administration

Quality system certification is a plus.
