A Credit Manager will manage and ensure that the hotel achieves optimum performance and achieves the required credit targets.

What will I be doing?

 

As Credit Manager, you will manage and ensure that the hotel achieves optimum performance and achieves the required credit targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

 

 

Ensure the timely credit collections of all outstanding payments

Manage credit meetings with key stakeholders

Monitor credit limits of all outstanding accounts

Administer credit processes and policies for other departments in the hotel

Work with the Finance Manager to build effective working relationships with internal and external customers

Ensure the accuracy of all charges and credits to the various accounts

Follow up on all overdue accounts and send to debt collectors, as required

Manage all account queries and disputes

Maintain good communication and working relationships with all hotel areas and other homeworkers and be familiar with any Homeworking Policy

Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when required

Serve your role and Team in an environmentally-conscience manner

What are we looking for?

A Credit Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

 

 

Relevant degree, in Finance/Accounting or related business discipline, from an academic institution

Previous experience in a high volume credit control function within a hotel environment

Effective negotiation skills

Ability to communicate firmly and clearly with internal and external customers

Ability to develop strong relationships

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

Previous experience in the hospitality industry

Previous experience as a Credit Manager

Manage and control the budget of the Sales Department.

Manage all staff employed under the Sales Department and monitor closely their behavior and performance.

Work in conjunction with New Product Development to identify product improvements or new products by remaining updated with current industry trends, market activities, and competitors.

Work in conjunction with New Product Development to develop products according to customer requirements and specifications.

Conduct periodic tasting and review of NDC products to improve the products offered.

Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state of the art practices, etc.

Organize sales stand at trade shows, exhibitions, seminars to maintain and improve customer awareness and its capabilities.

Attend and manage sales stands.

Work in coordination with the Marketing Team in developing the planogram of the new and existing retail shops.

Categorize and Departmentalize products together with the Marketing Team.

Work in coordination with the Marketing Team in developing strategies to enhance image, packaging and branding products.

Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies.

Work together with the Acting Assistant Country Retail Manager and Area Managers in setting sales targets of the retail shops.

Any other tasks assigned to him related to his field of work.

Responsibilities :

Direct/coordinate production, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, or financial forecasting or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service and safety.

Examine existing procedures and opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs.

Review and update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, procedures, and laws.

Implement new or improved supply chain processes.

Oversee creation of processes and methods to gather supply chain data.

Process data, identify problematic areas and suggest improvements.

Design and implement necessary supply chain optimization projects.

Manage activities related to strategic and tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control and warehousing.

Analyze, optimize, and oversee inventory procedures.

Direct the movement, storage and processing of inventory.

Assist logistics process for the development of new products, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, delivery and returns on products.

Develop material costs forecast or standard cost list.

Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective.

Build relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers and distributors.

Appraise vendor’s ability through on-site visits and measurements.

Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders.

Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.

Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.

Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts or changes.

Collaborate with other departments, such as production, marketing, sales, and quality control to identify or qualify new suppliers.

Develop and implement procedures and systems to evaluate or select suppliers.

Read and comprehend legal documents, such as contracts, import / export agreements, etc.

Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand and create supply plans that ensure availability of materials and products.

Design and implement warehousing strategies for raw/production materials and finished products.

Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.

Analyze inventories to determine to increase inventory returns, reduce waste and optimize customer service.

Track KPIs and generate reports for supply chain performance.

Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison and evaluation of supply chain factors such as product cost and quality.

Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.

Participate in the coordination of product changes and new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transition in material and production flow.

Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.

Identify opportunities to reuse or recycle materials to minimize consumption of new materials, minimize waste, or to convert wastes to by-products.

 

Other Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Supply Chain Management or related field, Master’s Degree preferred.

5-7 years progressive experience in supply chain management in the manufacturing / food production industry, of which at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
