Minimum Requirement

Associate Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical Draftsman-ship
with a minimum of 15 years of related oil & gas/petrochemical experience.

Scope of Responsibilities
Supervise a team of designers and participate in the design and drafting activities, producing calculations,
estimates and technical drawings in support of engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction
activities.
Although not directly involved for issuing deliverables in optimum work share environment, job expectation is
to provide optimum layout design solution satisfying technical integrity, safety & operability in collaboration
with VEC.

Primary Duties

  • Main focus is to work in collaboration with VEC to maintain a stronghold of the project goals (Ensuring integrity
    & safety of the design, meeting quality as per contractual intent, meeting schedule, optimizing procurement
    & construction cost and maintaining high productivity) when executed by VEC as per optimum work share
    environment.
  •  Implementation of applicable Lesson Learnt throughout the project cycle.
  • Successful implementation of agreed Value Engineering points.
  •  To drive right behaviour in VEC team to ensure all round performance and delivery.
  •  Work collectively with VEC to promote fit for purpose design philosophy.
  •  Greater flexibility in mobility.
  • Work clearly as per the interface between Head Office & VEC adhering to SLA.
  • Control, coordinate change using change control procedure.
  • Operate & facilitate VEC team to promote “First Time Right” policy.
  • To focus on piping bulk delivery and piping prefabrication activity.
  •  To focus along with VEC on design development to meet or beat the proposal estimation.
  •  Focus on engineering support for Piping deliverables, requirements of Painting, Coating & Fireproofing.
  • Identify & expedite vendor documents that will impact project schedule.
  •  Engage Construction, Commissioning & Operation teams for their inputs & reviews early on projects.
  •  Review Model at own desk regularly & ensure proper Model Review preparation w.r.t. Model Review
    preparation control sheet & checklist prepared by VEC.
  • Facilitate prompt response to Site query.
  • To focus on piping bulk delivery and piping prefabrication activity.
  • Ensure proper data input to Suppliers in right time.
  • Develop initial bill of material, prepare technical layouts and drawings for proposal estimation.
  •  Review the Technical Document Register (TDR), evaluate scope of work, number of required engineering
    deliverables, establishing design and drafting requirements, format of delivery, time schedules and other
    requirements for execution of the work. Study Data Sheets, Piping Material Specifications (PMS),
    Process/Mechanical Data Sheets (PDS/MDS), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), Review
    Philosophies, Equipment Vendor Drawings, Pipe Specifications, Piping Design Basis, process requirements,
    access requirements, aesthetic requirements, Line Lists, Instrument Specifications, Specialty Item Lists,
    Drawing Index’s and other relevant documents.
  • Review the Design Basis, assess total number of engineering deliverables, drafting and drawing
    requirements, format of delivery, time schedules and other requirements for execution of the work. Evaluate
    development method and software requirements; AutoCAD, PDS, PDMS 3D Modelling and other relative
    software.
  •  Produce plot plan, equipment layout and piping plans. Identify technical conflicts in layout design, coordinate
    with other engineering disciplines on solutions of technical irregularities.
  •  Prepare inputs for civil engineering including identification of rack locations, foundations, access platforms,
    underground services, pipe supports, structures for elevated equipment and other piping layout requirements.
  • Develop 3D CAD models with necessary dimensions and other relevant details to assist the Engineering
    Disciplines and Fabrication/Construction personnel. Study layout feasibility, resolve design irregularities,
    prepare isometric drawings for stress analysis, and provide stress and piping loads for civil engineering.
  • Perform layout clash/interface checks, identify conflicts, and take corrective action in coordination with other
    engineering discipline inputs.
  •  Issue engineering drawings and layouts for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDC’s) coordinate with other engineering
    discipline in the integration of technical data inputs. Prepare final layouts and drawings integrating inputs
    provided by other engineering disciplines. Consult and make recommendations to Engineers on feasibility of
    design plans and layouts.
  • Supply Engineers with estimates for the required quantities. Prepare material take off (MTO’s), review vendor
    drawings.
  • Attend progress meetings when required.
  •  Prepare isometric drawings for final layouts and drawing for installation and construction. Provide clarification,
    guidance and technical support to construction and commissioning personnel. Perform design changes and
    alterations based on Design Change Notices (DCN’s) when required.
  • Prepare “As-Built” Drawings (plot plans/equipment lay-outs) following completion of construction activities.
  •  Recommend manpower and personnel assignments for the execution of design activities within budgeted
    project man-hours.
  • Ensure conformity of designs and layouts in accordance to Company Engineering procedures and ISO
    Quality Standards. Upload documents into “Documentum”, maintain and archive IDC’s, originals, check prints
    and Master technical drawings in accordance to Company and quality procedures.
  •  Provide input in employee performance evaluations, establish performance criteria, identify employee
    strengths and weaknesses, and recommend training and development requirements.
  •  Check/review the documents, 3D CAD model and other work produced by subordinate designers.
  •  Perform related duties as and when directed by the direct supervisor.

 Job/Cost Impact
Produces designs and drawings based on information received from Engineers. Prepares estimates
supporting the preparation of associated requisitions. Cost/delivery impact situations are reviewed by
supervisors.


Decision Making Authority
May make recommendations on technical scope of project design and layouts, consults with Supervisor on
issues which may affect layout and deviations of equipment specifications.

Job Description

1. Prepare product research into consumer trends, end user requirements, performance criteria’s, production constraints.

2. Support in preparing product briefs, data specification sheets for tender. Ensure documentation are according to Oman Air standards, capturing all necessary technical, design and performance criteria for effective tender and understanding by suppliers.
3. Prepare documents and templates for technical evaluation during tender, preproduction development and trials ensuring accuracy in data captured.
4. Ensure proper filing of all project files, samples during development and master samples.
5. Use design tools and software to prepare designs for review and critique. Positively revise designs according to brief and changing circumstances.

6. Liaise with suppliers and vendors on ensuring accuracy in submission of product documentation data and samples and prepare these for both team and management review. Consolidate feedback and liaise with suppliers for appropriate revisions and improvements.

7. Support the product and service development team in creating consistency and efficiency in the overall inflight experience, equipment and service flow, including optimal usage of aircraft space and ease of maintenance.

8. Continuously source new products and create an extensive choice of supplier partners for Oman Air.

9. Support the Inflight Service and Service Standards and Training team and any other internal stakeholder in preparing product information, images and brand and marketing data for effectively communication of the new products launched.

10. Where needed, participate in internal decision-making forums and ensure effective representation of the product department.

Job Purpose
Plan and control all administrative processes for Emirates SkyCargo ensuring the smooth and efficient day to day running of the section by effectively co-ordinating activities and streamlining the flow of information, in order to: Maximise resource productivity and efficiency by effective resource planning and allocation. Produce monthly staff schedules and rosters for multiple departments across Operations and Customer Services. Ensure that all Emirates flights are assigned Load Masters in accordance with Company and regulatory rules and staff are accurately informed of their scheduled duties in advance to avoid Operational disruption and commercial impact. Job Outline: - Manage the efficient maintenance of personnel systems and records for all staff within the Department, such as leave planning, sickness, industrial injury, promotion, performance feedback, disciplinary action, appreciations and Najms, attendance exception reporting, performance exception reporting etc., capturing related data on a continuous basis, and developing the same into useable information. Analyse the data against pre-determined limits/benchmarks and Company regulation. Work closely with internal and partner departments to ensure effective use of resources. - Resource Management - Plan, prepare and distribute the duty rosters for Permanent and Contracted staff using department relevant systems and in accordance with relevant department roster planning policies and regulations. In liaison with the management, manage staff movements in order to cover operation requirements, monitor staffing levels on a daily basis, arrange replacement or redeployment of staff to cover emergency leave, injury, illness, training etc. track shift swaps and change requests. - Proactively address shift and daily roster changes and manage immediate operational staffing issues in order to maintain service levels and to ensure impact on customer service across the different areas of operations is kept to a minimum. - Co-ordinate with respective Manager's/Controller's on regular basis changes in pre-assigned management requirements (Emergency leave, long sickness and removal from the roster etc). Audit the roster and manpower solutions for quality checks before publication in order to reduce inefficiency after the roster publication and to make adjustments in the rosters as needed and on time. - Manage a team of resource allocators, ensure communication regularly with Duty Officer/Controllers/Managers to identify staff attendance issues, potential impact on the business, and recommend best alternative to recover from the situation. - Load Master Scheduling and Customer Claims - Generate monthly Load Master Roster plan and liaise with a variety of stakeholders across the company to ensure that Load Masters are always rostered and freighter operation is not affected by lack of Load Masters. - Manage day of operations changes and related requests from all areas across the network. Advise Freighter operations, Network Control, hub and out-stations of any exceptional events such as load changes, duty time violation, equipment type changes, schedule changes, loading difficulties, and qualification of Load Master. Work with all parties to rectify the situation given the constraints. - Responsible to assign crew for Load Master Duties ensuring that all crew comply with mandatory training legalities and company requirements. Ensure that load masters are assigned trips based on their qualifications, experience, balanced workload. Recommend alternative solutions, if necessary, to their flying and office duties in accordance with their requirements, to avoid conflict with mandatory legalities or company policies and reduced productivity. - Review, investigate and evaluate all customer financial claims from Dubai that have resulted due to mishandling that occurred during the contract of carriage resulting in delay, damage and/or loss of the goods carried. Ensure investigation is fair while keeping company interest in mind. - Deal with customer complaints regarding their claims. In the event of a conflict between customers and Company policy, the job holder should be able to resolve the situation through available means of communication without jeopardizing customer goodwill or business.
Qualifications & Experience
Logistics/Cargo.Other : 3+ Years Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) : - Administrative experience in an operational environment. - Operations experience, resource planning, rostering and allocation experience preferred. Knowledge/skills: - Knowledge of roster planning and resource allocation is preferred. - Knowledge of rules governing customer claims is preferred. - A thorough and complete knowledge and understanding of computer applications i.e. MS Office packages is required and HR packages such as ETHOS, HR Direct, TRIPS and HR Review is preferred. - Other languages besides English: 1. Promote Nestlé’s belief that Breastfeeding is best for Babies and that Breastfeeding is recommendable over all other feeding alternatives for infants

• Provide reliable information on infant nutrition and infant feeding practices for medical/ paramedical contacts in areas that interest or affect them in their regular practice, according to current cycle detailing objectives and materials, becoming a reference advisor on these topics
• Participate in the organization and running of Product Knowledge, Nutrition or related topics medical / paramedical scientific meetings including their sponsorship meeting, guest lecturer invitation.
• Identify and maintain relevant information on all contacts in assigned territory via master list, including classification on interest and importance, and by regular call cards completion
• Monitor and report to the Medical Field Supervisor on activities of our competitors including new competitor products, communication strategies, etc.
• Maintain proper records and registers of all correspondence and actions undertaken in daily activities
• Ensure strict adherence and compliance on all activities undertaken to the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast-Milk substitutes and Nestlé Instructions and local country codes.
