About the role:

• Reviews and approves requests from the insurance team for adjustments and refunds
• Ensures the resubmission insurance claims that have received no response or are not on file
• Monitors and manages the productivity and performance of assigned employees including reporting daily/weekly/monthly department metrics to Finance Manager
• Ensures the team follows-up with insurance companies and confirms claims are paid/processed
• Produces productivity and error reports for the department manager
• Oversees that the team reviews and appeals unpaid and denied claims
• Performs monthly billing audits to ensure timely and accurate claims submission and insurance follow up activities
• Monitor and manage key performance indicators and data for department, and provide reporting and action plans for improvement.
• Supervises the team to ensure maintenance of an error rate in accordance with departmental policy
• Performs additional duties as assigned by Finance Manager

Self-Management

• Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
• Takes ownership of his/her own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the manager and agreeing on the individual development plan which goes beyond just training and development
• Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth

People Management

• Defines goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensure effective implementation of the GMG performance management process
• Develops talent within the team by providing guidance, mentoring and coaching to achieve the defined goals
• Drives a culture of feedback and coaching in the Department by providing feedback on an ongoing basis, identifying development needs and coaching the employees on the areas of improvement

 

Job Summary  :    

Responsible for overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.

 

Qualifications :

• BS Accounting/Finance, Commerce or related field
• 5 years’ experience in Retail / Trade Finance
• Qualified Certified Public Accountant
• Knowledge in SAP
• Advance MS Office skills particularly MS Excel

Working with the Manager HR (Benefits) review, design and implement Emirates Group employee benefits in a cost effective and market compliant manner that enable us to attract and retain a high calibre workforce across global locations (specialising in medical, life, disability, pension and other wellness plans). 2. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS (MAXIMUM OF 10) 1. Research, review, design, implementation and continual improvement of benefit programs for the Emirates Group including outstations and joint ventures in order to ensure that our overall reward package is cost effective, market appropriate, complies with local legal legislation in terms of design, level and delivery. 2. Ensure timely renewals of the various insured risk benefits schemes, negotiating annual premiums, service charges, changes and revisions to benefit coverage through the cost analysis of alternate service providers and evaluation of tangible and intangible benefits. 3. Periodically review all self-administered schemes in comparison with market practice and external service providers in order to ensure cost effectiveness and provision of best practices. 4. Interpret benchmark data on benefits (design and level of benefit) and provide appropriate recommendations in the context of our total reward package. 5. Support the review of the service and performance of all service providers through periodic monitoring and also feedback from the employees in order to ensure that service levels provided are as per contractual obligations and desired standards. 6. Make recommendations to enhance and continually improve the current communication channels and content to ensure visibility, engagement and buy in from employees on these benefits. 7. Deliver member presentations and briefings, as required. 8. Analysis of benefit practices and provisions to ensure alignment with the company’s global benefits strategy.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications: Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) preferably in Management, Finance, Maths or Economics or a degree that shows a high level of numeracy. Experience: Human Resources. Compensation & Benefits. Knowledge/skills: - Preferably 8+ years’ experience working on employee benefits scheme design and communication specialising in risk and retirement benefits. - A relevant professional qualification such as Associate of Chartered Insurance, Institute of Insurance and Risk Management (with a focus on employee benefits modules) is beneficial. - The job-holder must be an expert in their field, with a detailed professional expertise in employee benefits covering all pay and general personnel policy conditions essential in the airline industry. - An in-depth knowledge and use of all MS Office programmes with a focus on Excel and Word. - Proven ability to communicate clearly at all levels within a multi-cultural environment, to negotiate solutions and analyse and interpret statistical data. Job Description and Accountability

 

Medical Insurance:

• Responsible for the accurate flow of medical information and patient data between physicians, patients and third-party payers with the use of accurate code to define diagnostics, treatments and procedures and to enter this information into a the facility’s database using medical coding protocol to produce a statement or claim.
• To act as a liaison between the facility and payment parties to investigate the claim, verify its information, and update the database in the instance that a claim is denied by the third-party payer.
• Review patient medical records
• Communicating with medical billing specialists to ensure treatment codes are accurately received
• Submission of claims
• Taking timely approval of investigations/ procedures.

 

Medical Invoicing:

• Invoicing the services as per the agreed prices.

• Receiving patient treatment codes to use in assembling reimbursement claims
• Make sure CPT codes are accurate as per service
• Billing patients for medical services
• Enter patient information into computer files, and possibly also in paper records
• Organize, manage, and sort paperwork (including patients’ charts)
• Continue to enter data as patients are subjected to diagnostic tests and receive treatments
• Prepare and mail billing statements
• Resolve conflicts regarding payments and reimbursements
• Investigate and report instances of insurance fraud
• Provide information and prepare documents for legal inquiries and litigation
• Ensure the confidentiality of patients’ personal information
• Perform clerical duties that may include answering the telephone, greeting patients, and sorting mail

 

Customer Service:

• Provides a high level of customer service to the patients.
• Interacts with client with professional and personal manner.
• Responds to questions according to regulatory protocols.
• Guides flow of clinic traffic and directs clients to open station.
• Maintains client schedule at clinics that have pre-scheduled appointment times.
• Assists in accurate and legible documentation of clinic forms.
• Assures every client is signed in and has completed clinic paperwork.
• Check consent/ insurance form for completeness and legibility before the client goes to the Registered Nurse for services.
• Communicates effectively with client regarding the information that is needed.
• Responds to urgent customer needs in a timely and professional manner.
• Makes recommendations and implements process improvements.
• Participates in fostering a safe workplace.
• Participates in employee job safety analysis to eliminate hazards and prevent accidents.

 

Cash Handling:

• Manage up-to-date clinic income records by sending and receiving bank checks and documenting all relevant transactions.
• Receives and reconciles cash, checks or credit card for payment and issues receipts as required
• Handles cash box as needed. • Accurately makes change when needed. • Responsible for cash box during clinic and transfers money to accounts department at end of clinic for deposit
• Handle all payments to clinic suppliers and accurately enter daily payment activities (credit, insurance, cash, check, payment for previous visit) into software management system
• Counts and reconciles money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and notifies supervisor if any discrepancy is found
• Transfer income activities to the financial system on a daily basis
• Create daily, weekly, and monthly reports from clinic financial data
• Obtains valid authorization for all credit card payments
• In the event a refund is being requested, initiates checking the system for delinquent accounts or outstanding balance, suggests to apply payment of refund against outstanding balances before processing any refunds
• If a refund is necessary, ensures all appropriate documents and signatures are obtained, and refunds are entered in the system
• Maintains general knowledge of cash handling and controls and complies to cash handling policies and procedures
• Calculates total amounts received and reconciles with supervisor at the end of each shift before closing cash drawers
• Liaise and support other members of the multi-disciplinary team and other agencies relating to patient care, maintaining good communication channels.
• Be aware of safe guarding policies, both local and national, and implement such policies should it become necessary.  

 

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

• Graduate Degree in any stream.
• Experience in all or any area of Insurance, Cash Handling, Customer Service & Invoicing.
• Fluency in English (speak, read and write).
• Arabic speaking skills will be an added advantage.
• Excellent Computer Literacy skills is required.

 

Minimum Experience:

Minimum 2 experience in a similar role.
