People Operations Coordinator

We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven People Operations Coordinator who thrives in a highly diverse, dynamic, start-up environment. We seek someone who has a passion for getting things done, believes “good enough” never is and who is committed to making an impact. This role is a hands-on generalist role and directly supports our People Lead. Creating a seamless employee experience is important to us. You’ll play a major role in this as you’ll be the first point of contact for all operational people needs, involving everything from HRIS administration, onboarding to training support and offboarding as well as the organisation of exciting People & Culture initiatives.

You’d be a great fit, if …
- You have 2+ years of People & Culture related work experience, preferably within a small/medium-sized company
- You have previous administrative experience, ideally in a start-up environment
- You are experienced working with HR Systems and/or ATS such as BambooHR, Greenhouse, Workday, Cornerstone, SmartRecruiters or similar. Energetech uses BambooHR but any experience with other, similar systems is valuable.
- You possess the ability to work responsibly with sensitive, confidential information. A high degree of discretion combined with excellent judgement is what’s needed and expected in this role.
- You have exceptional attention to detail and take pride in making sure information is accurate and always up to date.
- You have strong analytical skills and are well versed working with Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- You are extremely well organised, have great time & project management skills, enabling you to lead projects end-to-end.
- You are a pro-active self-starter who can handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- You are comfortable switching between working collaboratively as part of a team & autonomously.
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills & are great at presenting
- Social Media Affinity/ Instagram, LinkedIn is great to have. Bonus points if you’ve worked with Canva before.
- You are a people person through and through, energetic and outgoing, and have a knack for building and maintaining working relationships.
You’ll make an impact by …
- Shaping the employee experience for all team members by providing efficient world-class service and thoughtful curation of moments-that-matter.
- Demonstrating a people-first-approach by responding to people inquiries quickly and patiently, in a friendly & helpful manner
- Providing top-notch administrative support for Energetech’s team.
- Handling the administration of employee files and data entries in BambooHR & other tools, with a high degree of accuracy for all people processes
- Processing all employee entries & changes across the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, promotions, terminations and more.
- Maintaining and regularly updating company documents such as Employee Handbook, policies, guidelines & process documents.
- Creating employment verification documents, such as salary and employment certificates.
- Being the first point of contact for all visa related matters such as employment visa applications, visa renewals and cancellations.
- Coordinating Health Insurance related matters: additions and deletions of employees during the onboarding & offboarding process; assisting with the annual Health Insurance renewal
- Assisting with the organisation of Employee Engagement activities and People & Culture initiatives, such as team events, office initiatives & celebrations.
- Supporting the People Lead with Social Media & Employer Branding activities.
- Working on ad-hoc People Operations projects as assigned to support growth and scale, as well as further your own development!
