MCC Duty Engineer, Etihad Airways, Abu Dhabi, UAE

 

Synopsis

The MCC Duty Engineer coordinates the daily operations and ADHOC troubleshooting to return the aircraft to service safely and efficiently. He/she provides reports on the daily operation, delays, fleet status including IFE/Connectivity, Delay/Event reports.

Accountabilities

  • Performs the overall coordination of technical issues/problems received by phone call or radio call. Guides and supports the line maintenance staff in the daily operation to assure that the most efficient course of action is taken to provide a safe and serviceable fleet on time. Monitors VHF calls and ensure timely and quality communication with crews.
  • Review appropriate MEL reference and issue MEL control number to line engineers.
  • Performs ADHOC troubleshooting support to Line engineers and flight crews.
  • Monitors OEM health monitoring tools to pro-actively identify potential system failures and will generate AMOS Work Orders to carry out troubleshooting.
  • Where no contracted maintenance provider is available, contact possible providers and apply for one off approvals for the aircraft certification. Keep and maintain the “One off Approval” file and ensure that all documents for every approval are available and up to date.
  • Ensures that all work performed is completed in accordance with Etihad’s processes, procedures and is done in a safe manner to the highest possible standards.

Education & Experience

  • Education: High School diploma is required, university or Technical degree with background on Aircraft Maintenance or similar Engineering field is preferred. Qualifications required are ICAO TYPE II License or equivalent and holding at least 2 Etihad aircraft type courses.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of aircraft certifying experience with at least 2 years working within a maintenance control environment using aircraft health monitoring tools. Must possess excellent communication and computer skills.

About the Role

Main Responsibilities

Requirements

8+ years account/project management experience in a SaaS environment, preferably with large M&E and/or telecom/MSO clientels, specifically dealing with Director and C-Level executives but with the ability to forge meaningful relationships at all levels of an organization from the working to the executive level.

Thorough understanding of account business strategies, drivers, goals, initiatives, pain points and politics and translating these into account retention or upsell opportunities. 

Excellent ability to anticipate the landscape at an account and understand how Evergent is positioned within that account. Demonstrate excellent networking skills to identify the right customer stakeholders and build connections quickly to manage perceptions and ensure that Evergent is always seen in a favourable light.

Ability to oversee engagement progress and act as an escalation point for key customer concerns and issues. Account Managers are expected to be on top of their accounts and spot/fix any issues before they escalate or become bigger issues.

Maintain a high level of communication with customers and internal stakeholders to effectively manage expectations and build confidence. You will be seen as the person who owns the account internally and gets things done.

Excellent presentation and documentation skills with attention to details like visual presentation, esthetics, spelling and grammar. 

A proven track record of identifying and qualifying upsell opportunities and working with a cross functional team to bring them those opportunities to closure.

Preferred Qualifications

 

The Legal Counsel will be part of the Middle East Legal team and will be tasked with providing a broad range of in-house legal services across countries in the Middle East region with focus on transactional work supporting the various Oracle lines of business in closing transactions for IT products and services. The position is located in Dubai and is reporting to the Middle East Legal Director. The Middle East Legal function is part of the EMEA Legal group.

 

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for the following main tasks and activities:

 

· Supporting the legal team (Legal Director and Senior Legal Counsel) and/or the various lines of business on legal and contractual matters, including the structuring of contracts and appropriate documents to be used

· Assisting the legal team and/or the lines of business in negotiations with customers and partners (via email, phone and face-to-face meetings when required)

· Working closely with Oracle’s Deal Management group, including in connection with internal approvals and consequent drafting, to ensure a smooth and efficient support to the lines of business and compliance with Oracle policies and procedures

· Reviewing, vetting and drafting of non-standard contracts

· Localizing Oracle model standard agreements and clauses

· Responding to various ad-hoc queries

· Identifying, analysing and assessing legal/contractual risk in connection with business transactions, including in connection with internal approvals to assist approvers in making decisions on an informed basis

· Assist in ensuring business transactions are in compliance with Oracle business practices, policies and procedures as well as local laws

· Managing disputes and litigation matters (in collaboration with the EMEA Litigation group)

· Assisting the C&E (Compliance & Ethics) group in connection with compliance cases

· Working with other legal groups in EMEA in connection with cross-border deals and EMEA-wide initiatives and projects

· Managing external lawyers retained by Oracle for specific matters

· Performing various other tasks as are relevant for an in-house lawyer

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5+ years related experience. Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or similar background is a plus for roles within certain sub disciplines. Completed law degree and member of bar association in relevant jurisdictions. Excellent legal skills and business judgment in areas of responsibility. Proficient writing skills.
