GaffneyCline’s business development team plays an essential role in positioning its brand and maturing a pipeline of client engagements. GaffneyCline has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager based in the Middle East. The successful candidate will be accountable for growing company revenue, including in the fast-expanding energy transition space.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing a pipeline of opportunities and support revenue targets

  • Partnering collaboratively with Marketing to perform market industry research and analysis, competitive assessments, and customer/market segmentation to identify new growth platforms and opportunities

  • Presenting Baker Hughes & GaffneyCline to potential clients with particular emphasis on new business development.

  • Developing business solutions for existing clients

  • Presenting /attending conferences and other venues to promote GCA’s activities

  • Providing direct input to a wide range of petroleum sector projects

  • Building long-term strategic relationships with key customers and markets to develop partnerships and opportunities

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience, Engineering discipline or Business with minimum 15 years’ experience, ideally with a consulting background

  • Be self-motivated, delivering to deadlines with a flexible approach to problem-solving, without compromising detail or quality

  • Have established industry contacts and network within major mining organizations such as SPE, SPEE, AIPN, etc.

  • Have the ability to be a technical consultant to our customers and build successful and strategic relationships

  • Have oral and written communication skills in Arabic. Good interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrate organizational, analytical, and problem solving abilities. Proactive attitude, initiative, decision-making skills and accurate oriented.

  • Have a solid account management skills, including developing relationships at the C-suite level; financial & analytical skills & strategic planning capabilities

  • Have aptitude to decrypt up/mid/downstream market & stakeholder dynamics

Sr. Engineer, Data Center Engineering

Major Accountabilities
  • Installation, monitoring, maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting support for multi-vendor hardware in an enterprise data center environment.
  • Deliver server upgrades, integration, rebuild, and other projects as required.
  • Manage and coordinate colocation vendor resources for installation and cabling of multi-vendor IT equipment.
  • Project manages highly impactful large- and small-scale data center projects.
  • Build plans to optimize power, cooling, and network resources.
  • Design and cost-effective support copper and fiber optic wiring solutions in support of multi-vendor hardware connectivity.
  • Manage physical aspects of the IT infrastructure using Mastercard standard DCIM tool.
  • Forecasting to efficiently match supply to demand. Predict data center growth and scaling issues before they occur and implement solutions
  • Implement process improvements and develop a cutting-edge operational environment.
  • Create and update Mastercard standards documentation for sharing with other internal teams.
  • Plans, coordinates, budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data center.
  • Monitor the environmental conditions of a data center to ensure they are optimum for servers, routers, and other devices.
  • Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and ordering supplies equipment.
  • Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident.
  • Design plans as well as lead initiatives for the optimization and restructuring of network architecture, including preparing of BOQs.
  • Reporting, supervising, and auditing contractors for Network / Data Center projects as a Project Manager.
  • Preparing RFP and doing a Technical Analysis / Evaluation for the required new Technical Projects.
  • On-Call support for hardware, networking, and infrastructure for a 7 x 24 data center.

Knowledge/Experience
  • Proficient experience in multiple IT domains, including data center engineering, networking, and IT infrastructure support.
  • Thorough understanding of structured copper and fiber optic cabling solutions and methods for troubleshooting UTP Copper and Fiber Optic cabling issues.
  • Hands-On experience on Cisco product portfolio and Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems.
  • Understanding of electrical and HVAC technologies and systems.
  • Deep understanding of data center power and cooling infrastructure, of network and cabling infrastructure.
  • Experience in project management, vendor management, and negotiations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of internal teams and vendors.
  • Hands-on experience with Data Center Build or Operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and pick up new technology, process, and standards.
  • Knowledge of DCIM tool e.g., AGConnect is considered as an asset.
  • Ability to make decisions and work with minimal direction.

Qualifications
  • Experience handling large-scale data center hardware deployments, building data centers, and directly leading data center-related projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
  • CCNP (R&S), ATD (Accredited Tier Designer), AOS (Accredited Operations Specialist) are preferred.
