Job Description

Lead Advanced Product Management activities for Chevrolet, Corvette, Cadillac, GMC, and other General Motors brands in selected markets within GM Strategic Markets, Alliances & Distributors (SMAD).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead CSO, post-CSO, and active life-cycle portfolio and pricing initiatives in SMAD distributor markets Israel and South East Asia (Philippines & Rest of AP)
  • Support the Uz Portfolio Planning Manager with CSO, post-CSO, and active life-cycle portfolio and pricing initiatives in Uzbekistan & Uz Export markets
  • Portfolio initiatives:
  • Identify portfolio business opportunities based on competitive analysis in collaboration with local Sales Operations teams, frame initiatives (AFS, CR), develop business cases, obtain leadership concurrence, align initiatives with Program, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory teams, etc., work towards obtaining NoD approval
  • Launch support as required – Work with Export Program Managers and Program Team
  • Accessories: Create opportunities with GM accessories
  • Pricing initiatives:
    • Lead portfolio pricing from CSO onwards. Ensure to optimize positioning and business cases prior to launch and align with internal and external stakeholders as required. Track market dynamics in distributor markets Israel and South East Asia and optimize positioning and business case in collaboration with local Sales Operation teams accordingly
    • Prepare price proposals and presentation material for pricing gate reviews
    • Improve pricing process, tools, and templates where applicable
  • Work in collaboration with other Planning areas (other GMI market Portfolio Planning, Global Planning integration, Forecasting, Market Research, Competitor Intelligence, etc.)
  • Develop material and present in executive level reviews
    • Present in SMAD Product Forum
    • Present in partnership reviews (e.g. GMIO PB) for portfolio and gate review input (e.g. AFS/NoD, Red Zone CR approval, CSO & post-CSO input & etc.)
    • Support GM Business Plan and volume sign-off process
  • Lead Product-related discussion in meeting with GM Distributors (UMI for Israel & TCCCI for Philippines)
    • Support Government Relations discussions for products (e.g. regulation)
    • Continually improve knowledge base and skill set for all systems and tools

About this role:

  • Oversees Civil/Structural engineering discipline during FEED phase and future EPC phase, in covering all aspects of civil/structural design to ensure technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule;
  • Ensures that technical requirements (such as project specifications, data sheets, procedures, etc.) developed during FEED and EPC phases fully comply with project requirements;
  • Provides clear guidance to the FEED and future EPC contractors and facilitate resolution of technical issues to complete civil/structural engineering activities to meet project objectives and milestones;
  • Provides engineering surveillance on FEED and future EPC civil/structural deliverables;
  • Monitors discipline schedule and progress;
  • The position is dynamic and requires high commitments and discipline;
  • Work activities will occur in multiple office locations;
  • Work activities and execution in a brownfield environment;
  • Activities occur in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment which requires professional conduct and proper office protocol;

  • What you need to bring

    • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering;
    • Professional registration with accredited Regulatory Body desirable (PE, C.Eng., EUR ING, or equivalent);
    • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in projects, in civil/structural discipline including FEED, detailed design and construction phases;
    • Experience in Onshore Oil & Gas Facilities, especially LNG plants;
    • Previous Experience with Civil works in Qatar;
    • Knowledge in geotechnical, foundations design, drainage, precast concrete, steel structures Fluent with common software applications including Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, etc.

Role Purpose: 

NEOM Authority is aiming to disrupt the existing models and set a new standard for governance in the world. It will institutionalize the Authority of the Future, which is Digitally native, adaptive, Lean and Citizen / Business-centric. To achieve this ambitious roadmap, the function head will be required to:

  • Develop the function operating model, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Drive and develop the function readiness and transition plan to operate

Lead overall efforts to provide residents of NEOM with constant access to a wide variety of high-quality foods. Coordinate all aspects of Food management including national and international procurement, food regulation, infrastructure, and pricing. Ensure NEOM’s produces and consumes sustainable food.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:

 

Lead overall efforts to provide residents of NEOM with constant access to a wide variety of high-quality foods. Coordinate all aspects of Food management including national and international procurement, food regulation, infrastructure, and pricing. Ensure NEOM’s produces and consumes sustainable food in relations to:

Food safety oversight​

  • Protect and enhance the safety, security, and sustainability of NEOM’s food production and supply​
  • Undertake risk-based inspection and oversight of all food facilities within NEOM​
  • Develop food safety standards​
  • Define standards for sustainability​
  • Set criteria for licensing professionals and businesses in the food industry​

 

Food technology & standards​

  • Oversee facilities involved in the production or sale of food​
  • Manage and reduce environmental effects of the food sector​
  • Adopt smart food technologies that improve food security and make the sector more sustainable and environmentally friendly​
  • Set agriculture policies and standards for food technology​
  • Develop plan for food security​
  • Create policies for innovation and investment in food solutions​

 

Nutrition and consumer information​

  • Promote good nutrition throughout NEOM​
  • Develop guidelines and criteria for food nutrition and consumer information​
  • Develop policies for protecting consumer rights in the food sector​

Food technology investment

  • Develop advanced local production systems​
  • Promote customized greenhouse and agricultural field systems​
  • Promote aquaculture for production of seafood​
  • Promote food-related biotechnology​
  • Fund research and technological advancements in the food space​

 

 

NOTE:

This is a preliminary definition of core responsibility and function; however, the Function Head should identify the evolution of the operations and the services to be provided to the public and investors in order to materialize NEOM’s vision, Authority mandates to attract talents and residence to become an attractive and competitive destination for dreamers and doers.

 

 

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

    • Advanced degree in law, business or in a related field,
    • 15 to 20 years of experience in the public sector or in a private institution focused on food production, supply or biotechnology​
    • Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience in public or private sector Food focused organizations with experience in project management, including effective management of large budgets​
    • Demonstrated experience in policy creation and execution of strategies to improve access to high quality food for a large number of people is preferred​
    • Likely previous employers: Government institutions focused on food and agriculture (e.g., Ministry of Food, Ministry of Agriculture, FAO); Private institutions focused on food production or management (e.g., Monsanto, Nestlé, Danone, Al-Marai)​
