Reporting to the Legal Counsel, you will be the Junior Legal Counsel responsible of Meta region (Middle East, Turkey and Africa).

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Acting as a trusted advisor and coordinator by supporting all aspects of corporate secretarial matters for the META region: governance, records of any statutory filings, co-ordinating signing/notarization and authentication of documents;
  • Liaise with local corporate secretaries, external counsels as well as inter-company departments for recurring secretarial legal topics;
  • Simple legal searches and updating of legal documentation (contract, policy and procedures, document review, compliance);
  • Assisting in drafting, proof-reading and editing of simple legal documents and correspondence, e.g. Power of Attorneys, simple letters, minutes etc;
  • Any other adhoc duties assigned by the Legal Counsel, including but not limited to preparing reports about the activity of the legal department, helping with the preparation of compliance programs, etc;

Your Profile:

 

  • 2 or 3 years of experience in a legal department in a Multinational Company;
  • Bachelor degree in Legal field;
  • Quick learner, detail oriented and excellent communication skills;
  • Language: English and French (Preferred).

Key responsibilities

  • provide legal support and advice to key business stakeholders in the Quik (grocery) team including calculating and handling risks in business process and decision making
  • drafting legal documents including contract templates, bespoke agreements, statements, supply agreements, leases etc.
  • execute procedures for registering trademarks
  • Contract reviews and negotiations
  • Understand, interpret and apply current or proposed regulations as applicable to Careem Quik business in the region
  • Support to the government relations team in their interactions with MEA government authorities and regulators
  • Support the business team with launching new markets and new sites in existing markets across the Careem network

 

This is a hands-on role and you’ll be expected to handle significant legal matters with short turnaround times.

 

Requirements

Requirements include:

  • Strong drafting skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience PQE either at a Legal 500 law firm or reputable in-house role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable in working with shifting priorities, ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
  • Self-starter and self-sufficient.
  • Corporate or commercial experience preferred

Role Summary


We’re looking for an Demand Planner to join the team and focus on growing our own Grocery Store “Talabat Mart”, which is the region’s first cloud store concept offering 30-minute delivery of groceries at hypermarket prices. Launched in Kuwait and UAE, the service is expanding fast to more countries.

What’s On Your Plate?

  • Responsible for ensuring we have the correct inventory at the stores (No OOS or OVS) by analysing the current inventory status and updating the ordering parameters. Daily monitoring of stock movement, running report of daily inventory adjustment.

  • Maintaining parameters of the replenishment model and making sure it is accurately input into the system, including lead times, reorder point, economic order quantities, suppliers minimum order quantities, etc.

  • Preparing demand forecasts and initiating ordering to the stores and tracking receipt of such orders

  • Managing the relevant inventory in coordination with the Category Managers

  • Ensuring timely and accurate analysis and reporting of inventory and purchase forecasts

  • Dispatching orders to suppliers and ensuring proper tracking

  • Liaising with suppliers for improving collaborative forecasting planning and replenishment

  • Ensuring maintenance of appropriate and accurate records of in-stock and inventory position are kept.

 Job Overview:

Responsible & accountable, supervisory for all project engineering and procurement quality assurance related activities including project quality management system and ensure compliance of supplier provided products/setvice to the requirements of the contract.

Liaise with Vendors, Package Managers, Client, Principal Quality Ops Specialists, Senior Quality Inspectors, Quality Inspectors, Lead Engineers, and QAQC Functional leads and supervise QA engineers, associate QA engineers, project vendor inspection coordinators
     
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with engineering groups, PMT, procurement, vendor inspection and customer to ensure customer specifications and relevant codes and standards requirements are integrated into the engineering and vendor data documents of supplied products,
  • Review of material specifications, datasheets, inspection and test requirements, material and inspection critically rating, material requisition, vendor offers, technical bid evaluations and purchase requisitions / subcontracts to ensure project specific requirements are identified. Patticipates in the bid clarification meetings with vendors to resolve QA/QC related queries during TBE phase.
  • Supewise QA engineers & associates and ensure completeness and correctness of vendor/supplier deliverables such as quality plan, inspection and test plans (ITP), manufacturing procedure specifications, weld procedures, heat treatment, and painting procedures against project specific requirements,
  • Assist assurance manager(project) for vendor/supplier pre-inspection meeting readiness reviews, kick off meeting (KOM), pre-inspection meetings(PlM), assessment of vendor/supplier inspectors' performance.
  • Administer the vendor inspection process by working closely with vendor inspection depanment through the assigned coordinator, supetvise and assist vendor inspection coordinators and vendor inspectors on inspection requirements.
  • Review and provide technical recommendations to package managers on vendor/supplier concessions or deviations, technical queries (TQs), NCRs and any technical issues upon post award and co-ordinate with customer for resolution and closure
  • Review IAP documents submission prior to submit it to COMPANY
  • Review supplier inspection reports (SIRS), inspection release note (IRN) and confirm the completion of inspection as per ITP with follow up on the punch list closure upon release. Review and submission of final IDR documents to COMPANY
  • Administrate the overall project specific audit schedule and non-conformance / corrective action tracking register status reporting.
  • Manage and conduct internal project audits, vendor/ supplier assessment and surveillance audits in accordance with the approved project audit schedule.
  • Prepare weekly / monthly quality reports to customer/interna/ management for his/her area of responsibility including project KPI. Taking the lead on customer interface fora/l engineering and procurement quality assurance activities during all client meetings.
  • Participate and conduct the root cause analysis and repott causal factors, root causes, corrective actions and followup for closure.
  • Providing QA/QC inputs/de/iverables for proposals and estimation during bid phase like preparing preliminary project quality plan etc, and procurement engineering support by resolving client & vendor technical clarifications for critical packages like line pipe if any.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Engineering Degree in Mechanical/ElectricaI and Instrumentation /Civil or Diploma with additional 3 years exp.
  • 12+ years QA Engr. Or related experience in Engineering and Procurement Quality Assurance, Materials.
