Position Title: Marketing Officer
Organization: African Digital Innovation & Technology Academy (ADITA)
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer / Head of Business Development
Location: Ethiopian IT Park, A.A, Goro route
Employment Type: Full-time
Role Overview
The Marketing Officer at ADITA is responsible for planning, executing, and managing all marketing, branding, and communication activities to position ADITA as a leading digital transformation, AI, innovation, and technology services company. The role focuses on market visibility, client acquisition, brand credibility, and stakeholder engagement across corporate, government, startup, and international markets.
The Marketing Officer plays a critical role in translating ADITA’s technical capabilities into clear value propositions for diverse audiences.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement ADITA’s annual marketing and communication strategy
- Align marketing activities with ADITA’s business goals, revenue targets, and expansion plans
- Identify target market segments (corporate, government, startups, youth, international clients)
- Conduct market and competitor analysis within the digital and technology sector
2. Branding & Corporate Identity
- Maintain and enforce ADITA’s brand identity and messaging
- Develop marketing guidelines, tone of voice, and visual standards
- Ensure consistent branding across all platforms (website, social media, events, documents)
- Position ADITA as a credible, high-end technology and innovation brand
3. Digital Marketing & Online Presence
- Manage ADITA’s website content, updates, and SEO optimization
- Plan and execute social media marketing (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
- Develop digital campaigns promoting:
- Training programs
- AI and technology services
- Startup incubation and innovation programs
- Corporate and government solutions
- Monitor digital analytics and optimize performance
4. Content Development & Thought Leadership
- Develop professional content including:
- Company brochures and profiles
- Program flyers and concept notes
- Articles, blogs, and success stories
- Case studies and impact reports
- Support leadership in publishing thought leadership content on AI, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and innovation
- Coordinate newsletters and email marketing campaigns
5. Client Acquisition & Lead Generation
- Support business development by generating qualified leads
- Design marketing funnels for:
- Corporate clients
- Government institutions
- Startups and entrepreneurs
- Training participants
- Coordinate promotional campaigns to increase enrollment and service uptake
- Track and report marketing-driven sales performance
6. Event Management & Public Engagement
- Plan and coordinate:
- ADITA launch events
- Innovation summits
- Hackathons and tech forums
- Startup demo days and exhibitions
- Manage event branding, media engagement, and post-event visibility
- Represent ADITA at industry events and exhibitions when required
7. Partnerships & Stakeholder Communication
- Support communication with:
- ICT Park
- Universities
- Technology partners
- Development partners
- Media organizations
- Prepare marketing materials for partnership proposals and MoUs
- Maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders
8. Media & Public Relations
- Develop and manage ADITA’s media relations strategy
- Prepare press releases, media briefs, and announcements
- Coordinate interviews, press coverage, and media partnerships
- Manage ADITA’s public image and reputation
9. Marketing Performance Monitoring
- Track key marketing KPIs:
- Website traffic
- Lead conversion rates
- Program enrollment
- Brand visibility metrics
- Prepare monthly and quarterly marketing performance reports
- Use data insights to refine strategies and campaigns
10. Internal Communication & Support
- Support internal teams with marketing materials for proposals, presentations, and pitches
- Coordinate internal communication on programs, achievements, and milestones
- Ensure alignment between marketing, business development, and technical teams
About You
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- Additional certification in digital marketing is an advantage
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in:
- Technology
- ICT
- Innovation
- Education or training services
