Company overview:
Pentabell is seeking a skilled Civil Quality Engineer, for one of its clients in the Energies sector. This role involves managing and enforcing all civil QA/QC activities on site to ensure compliance with project standards and specifications.

Position:
Civil Quality Engineer

Summary:
The Civil Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that construction works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project standards.

Responsibilities:
— Implement, maintain, and monitor the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for all civil works.
— Ensure full compliance with contractual requirements, international standards, local regulations, and approved project specifications.
— Participate in quality planning meetings and provide technical input related to civil QA/QC matters.
— Perform regular and ad-hoc site inspections for civil construction activities including earthworks and grading, concrete works (foundations, pedestals, slabs, roads), structural works (steel structures, supports, foundations), drainage systems and access roads.
— Verify works are executed as per approved IFC drawings, method statements, and ITPs.
— Witness and record site tests (soil compaction, concrete sampling, compressive strength tests, etc.).
— Review and approve method statements, work procedures, and material submittals related to civil works.
— Ensure proper documentation of inspection reports, test results, material approvals, as-built drawings.
— Maintain organized and up-to-date QA/QC records for audits and handover.
— Identify, issue, and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
— Follow up on corrective and preventive actions until closure.
— Analyze root causes of quality issues and propose improvement actions.
— Coordinate closely with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, and HSE teams to resolve quality-related issues.
— Interface with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives on civil quality matters.
— Support internal and external quality audits and inspections.
— Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of civil testing equipment.
— Verify that all materials used on site are approved and accompanied by valid test certificates.

Requirements:

— Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

— Minimum 8 years of proven experience as a QA/QC or Quality Engineer in civil construction projects.
— Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
— Excellent reporting and documentation abilities
— Ability to manage multiple site activities simultaneously
— Proficient in MS Office and document control systems
— Good communication and coordination skills
— Ability to work independently and under site pressure
