Account Associate, Middle East GWM, Dubai, UAE

Position Overview 
The Middle East and Africa team is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships and business with clients in the Middle East, including central banks, sovereign funds, pension funds, family offices and banks.
As an Account Associate, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic role that supports the servicing of PIMCO's Middle East and Africa Global Wealth Management business. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing economic and market trends, providing customized reporting, evaluating portfolio structures, and delivering attribution analyses to the Middle East and Africa Account Managers. You will also have the chance to collaborate with PIMCO's investment professionals, including Account Managers, Product Managers, and Portfolio Managers, to ensure the highest level of service to our clients and to provide support with business development efforts.
Account Associates use computer applications to prepare detailed portfolio risk reports, accounting reports and other weekly, monthly and quarterly client reports as well as assist with various management initiatives and responsibilities.
This position requires an analytical, detailed professional who can:
Accurately and efficiently prepare client reports spanning performance, trading activity, portfolio valuation and risk metrics.
Continually building understanding of underlying market factors to complete more qualitative, complex investment analyses.
Effectively utilize tools such as Excel spreadsheets, macros, and query tools, along with internet sites, both public and private. Bloomberg and/or Yieldbook knowledge is a plus.
Support the Account Management team through the provision of market and portfolio data.
Analyse Portfolio data including qualitative and quantitative performance attribution.
Handle ongoing automation of growing reporting requirements and streamlining of the reporting process.
Produce ad-hoc client & internal requests for information
Maintain a commitment to quality and attention to detail; ensure that all work is delivered completed, accurately, and on time.
Actively listen and ask questions to determine and meet customer needs; go beyond normal job responsibilities to indirectly satisfy the customer.
Flourish in a challenging, fast-paced, professional environment with frequent shifts in priorities as business needs dictate.
Have a strong sense of integrity, behaving consistently with expressed values and ethical principles of the firm.

Qualifications
Education:
Preference for University degree with an emphasis in Finance and Economics or a related, quantitative/analytical field from an accredited, leading business school or university, or other equivalent Advanced Degree.
Progression toward a CFA (desirable not essential).
Languages: 
Fluent English. Arabic is a plus.
Requirements:
1- 4 years working in similar role within the asset management or financial services industry.
Ideal candidates are familiar with fixed income markets and macroeconomics, private assets and derivative instruments.
Candidates must also possess the ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel, both internal and external, and utilize excellent time management and communication skills.  Must be team players and self-motivated. 
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel (VBA knowledge an advantage), PowerPoint and be comfortable with software applications in general. Possess strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
