We need a Chief Accountant - Inventory, Manufacturing & Fixed Assets,
Job Description
- Oversee inventory valuation, costing, and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure accurate tracking of inventory transactions (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments).
- Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventory counts; analyze and resolve variances.
- Monitor internal controls and policies related to inventory, MFG & Fixed Assets.
- Develop and maintain standard costs for all products; analyze variances and production efficiency.
- Partner with operations to monitor production cost drivers and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Track work-in-process (WIP) and finished goods inventory in alignment with production schedules.
- Ensure accurate recording of manufacturing overhead, labor, and material costs.
- Maintain fixed asset register and ensure proper capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of assets.
- Conduct periodic asset audits and reconcile to general ledger.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards for asset classification and depreciation.
- Capital expenditure reviews (CAPEX) .
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to inventory, manufacturing, and assets.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting - CMA is a plus
- 5–10 years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and fixed asset accounting.
- Proficient in ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
