The Role

As part of our Engineering team, the Lead Engineer – Mechanical will be responsible for leading the design and coordination of mechanical systems across complex building and infrastructure projects. This role involves managing project deliverables, ensuring compliance with international standards, and providing technical leadership to the mechanical design team. The Lead Engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, sustainable, and innovative mechanical engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the mechanical design process for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services systems.
• Oversee project deliverables including design drawings, specifications, and technical reports in accordance with project timelines and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers within the team.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, architects, and project managers to ensure fully integrated design solutions.
• Review and approve mechanical design calculations, equipment selections, and system layouts.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university (Master’s degree preferred).
• 10–15 years of experience in mechanical design and project coordination, preferably within a consultancy or multidisciplinary environment.
• Proven experience leading mechanical design for large-scale building, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• In-depth knowledge of international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, CIBSE, and local authority regulations.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD, HAP, and other relevant simulation or design software.
• Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer registration (or eligibility) will be an advantage.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and client engagement skills.
• Commitment to sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement in design delivery.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
