We are looking to hire a Senior Accountant to work with us, Lucy Middle East in Jebel Ali, Dubai.
Job Purpose:
Financial Accounting
Credit Control & Receivables Management
Assist the FM in all banking matters
Preparation of data for VAT returns, Budget, Forecast & Audit
Key Accountabilities:
Sales Order Management and Invoicing.
Following up with the sales team and customers to ensure timely payments to achieve the collection targets.
Periodic ageing reports and reviews of customers based on the sales and payment history and discussions with the Finance Manager on the same. Ensuring all customer accounts work to the agreed order to cash cycle
Processing of customer related credit/debit notes, generating reminder letters/emails, allocation follow up and monthly statements and periodic reconciliation of customer accounts
Bank guarantees-applications/renewals/extensions, monitoring outstanding guarantees for renewals/extensions and reporting periodically. Documentation, coordination with banks and periodic updating of statements for monitoring guarantees. Assisting the FM in monitoring costs and overall exposures in guarantee
Scrutinize for deficiencies (a) Customer LC’s as they are being established in favor of the company (b) LC documentation as prepared by the company’s logistic department for bank-negotiation. Co-ordination and follow up with banks
Collating of data and documents for monthly VAT returns
Assist in the detailing, data collating and analysis for the preparation of monthly MIS, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and annual audits.
Support the FM and contribute in driving improvement to the existing financial and operational reporting systems, processes and controls
The position is responsible to:
Participate as a finance stake holder for the business in cross functional teams.
Establishing and developing relations with the company management and the cross functional teams.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Minimum Qualifications: Qualified Chartered Accountant / ACCA / or equivalent
Minimum Experience: 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role in UAE
Technical Skills : Tech Savvy with good working knowledge of ERP (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365); Excellent MS Office skills and more specifically Excellent Advanced Excel Skills
Job-Specific Skills: Financial Acumen, Eye for Details, Tech Savvy, Analytical Thinking, Manage Deadlines, Methodical Approach, Accuracy, Effective Verbal & Written Communication, Innovation & Creativity, Commercial Awareness, Planning & Organizing, Maintain High Degree of Confidentiality.
