Join our Services_EMEA team within Services division in Qatar as Project Manager
Purpose of the job - Project Management to completion of all aspects of assigned turn around project - to overhaul and refurbish Shell Qatar, such as compressors, blowers, steam turbines and pumps to schedule delivery and including Quality, Training, HSSE, Reporting, Manpower management, Utilization and Invoicing.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Responsibility for monitoring and communicating all assigned project deliverables including but not limited to hardware, dispute management, customer satisfaction and on time delivery;
Responsible for driving required recruitment / resources required for turn around project, ensuring brought inn staff are fully suitable;
Responsibility for monitoring and reporting project progress;
Ensuring that assigned projects are launched in a timely and professional manner;
Ensuring that timely client and internal meetings are arranged and that all relevant project handover documentation is completed and distributed to relevant personnel;
Developing and maintaining relationships and interfaces with other key functions within Sulzer and in country partner in order to drive all aspects of Engineering, Procurement and Production;
Responsible for reporting, driving and controlling of project specific milestones and achievement to project schedules, with appropriate feedback to colleagues;
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers in order to reduce commercial risk and to maximise future business opportunities;
Provision of clearly defined responsibilities for Sulzer colleagues and client contacts;
Management/co-ordination of all aspects of assigned project in house and external related documentation in order to facilitate timely project Close Outs;
Acting as a single point of contact for all project communication, both internally and externally;
Ensuring co-ordination of all project activities;
Providing timely management/business feedback.
What you bring to Sulzer:
University degree in engineering or business discipline and/or;
Project Management experience on complex projects within Oil & Gas industry, preferably in Middle East region > 5 years;
Previous experience in major turnaround projects > 3 years;
Experience in rotating equipment essential;
Experience of contract negotiation in a commercial environment;
Supplier/Customer management experience;
General computer skills;
HSSE acumen;
Communication & negotiating skills;
Time management / Planning;
Resource management skills;
Commercial acumen;
Customer service skills;
Cultural awareness;
Ability to act independently;
Flexibility and ability to adapt to change;
Attention to detail.
Fixed term contract - 6-9 months with possibility of extension.
