Based in Abu Dhabi, in our Client Site office we have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics professional.
As the Senior Logistics Manager, one will establish and implement effective direction, leadership, systems, methods and procedures to the logistics team in the implementation of the site logistics strategy. In addition, they will participate in or lead in the logistic plan development and implementation and provide guidance on logistic matters to all personnel on site.
Must maintain and enforce the Jacobs Beyond Zero safety program
Coordinate with multiple contractors to ensure appropriate scheduling for delivery of materials.
Directs and oversee logistic contractor including their security team, permit office, medical team etc. in all aspects of administration.
Performs resource and delivery forecasting with planning team to allow for logistic strategy update.
Site management of the logistics contractor to update the logistics plan as and when a new route needs to be established on the site including all the required coordination and communication to the various infrastructure contractors working on the project.
Manages with accuracy and adequacy all logistics negotiations and coordination between all parties on site.
Supervise change activity to assure adequate protection of the company
Maintain effective relationships with management, customers, and project/department team members
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Here’s What You’ll Need:
To be successful in this role, you would have the following:
Ten plus years of related experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Advanced MS Office skills
Strong organizational skills
Experience in preparing Logistics Strategy report using Project plans.
BA/BS preferred
Specific experience in logistics/material delivery management/road and traffic management/security management/utilities and small works management preferred
APICS certification a plus
