JOB DESCRIPTION
Based in Dubai, this role will lead the finance function of IQVIA’s Africa, Middle East & South Asia (AMESA) commercial business.
AMESA is a strategic growth region for IQVIA, with an innovative team of ~2500 people that delivers ~$250M in revenue. Expected to continue to grow double digit over the next few years, the AMESA team has 27 offices across the region providing a multitude of IQVIA’s solutions to 100’s of clients serving a population of ~3 billion people. Along with the rest of IQVIA, much of the business is with Life Science companies but the majority of the recent and future growth is from working direct with Public Health organizations, Governments and also health systems (hospitals, payers etc.) with a view to proactively supporting and improving patients’ lives.

Job Overview
·Provide leadership and direction to the finance team across the region
·Partner with the AMESA regional management team to support the achievement of business objectives.
·Drive a strong control environment across the AMESA geographies
Responsibilities
·Delivering end to end financial planning and forecasting
·Working closely with commercial teams on in quarter revenue and EBITDA landing position
·Providing timely and insightful analysis of financial performance to inform and influence decision making
·Identifying risks and opportunities and recommending corrective actions
·Maximising cashflow by minimising overdue invoices, unbilled receivables and DSO
·Supporting the General Manager and AMESA Leadership Team in business reviews
·Collaborating cross functionally, as required, to win new business/retain existing business
·Providing input into M&A activities as needed, including integration of acquired entities
·Supporting the business to make capital allocation decisions, including investment appraisal, making trade-offs between investments and tracking investment performance
·Streamlining financial activities and procedures to improve efficiencies and reduce costs
·Leading the finance function, including managing staff performance and developing staff
·Representing the finance function in cross functional initiatives, within AMESA and EMEA, and providing leadership to deliver results
·Leading EMEA finance initiatives or representing EMEA finance on global finance initiatives as required
·Ensuring compliance with financial processes and policies and internal controls
·Ensuring compliance with local regulations, including, but not limited to, statutory filings and tax compliance across the AMESA geographies
·Interaction with internal and external auditors and tax authorities as needed
Minimum Education, Experience & Specialized Knowledge Required
-Qualified (professionally certified) accountant with minimum of twelve (12) years post qualification experience
-Strong knowledge of US GAAP
-Must be IT literate, preferably with experience of SAP and Hyperion
-Oral and written fluency in English

-Excellent leadership skills, including ability to influence outcomes and to focus on critical success areas to effectively manage workload across the team
-Proven track record of collaborating across a wide spectrum of stakeholders
-Very strong oral and written communication skills
-Ability to execute and follow through on projects and initiatives
-Ability to work effectively in a global organization with matrix reporting lines
-Work independently with minimal supervision and proactively set and manage timelines and priorities for self and team Customer orientated with a focus on delivery of results/commitments
