Amentum is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer for a position supporting a construction effort in the country of UAE. The work location for this position is on the Al Dhafra Airbase UAE. Reporting to the project engineering manager the Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the day to day management of discipline engineers and/or engineering design subcontractors. This will involve planning of work activities, estimates and schedules, and reporting of progress.
The Lead Mechanical Engineer will research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
Provide mechanical design service including determination of HVAC loads, equipment selection, duct sizing and routing, interior plumbing design, exterior plumbing design, and fire protection systems.
Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
Design products or systems in support of facilities' infrastructure, research, or maintenance requirements.
Coordinate, troubleshoot, and approve installation activities as inspection services to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and specifications.
Establish mechanical engineering design criteria and provide guidance and evaluation for facility projects determine HVAC loads, complete equipment selection, perform duct sizing and routing, design interior/exterior plumbing and fire protection systems.
Able to serve as the alternate project lead in the absence of the site manager.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Additional Information: Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test and be capable and willing to submit and pass random fitness for duty screening particularly for drugs and alcohol.
