Position Description
The Process Engineering Manager is responsible for the correct design of the process and systems aspects of packages within the technical, commercial, schedule and quality requirements.
Purpose of Role (Objectives)
To safeguard the company by ensuring that process designs meet performance requirements, customer standards and international standards and regulations
Provide services across the organisation to ensure that the organisation has an appropriate process design capability
To empower engineers within the organisation to carry out their engineering function by provision of appropriate training, tools, manuals, codes and standards
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Provide technical support to both the proposals and project execution teams
Ensure all process designs are reviewed as per the Company's quality requirements.
Ultimate responsibility for ensuring simulations and calculations are in compliance with project specifications, standards and design codes
Optimise designs to minimise overall cost of company’s products
Represent the company at HAZOP / SIL and other design meetings.
Address technical enquiries and comments from clients and 3rd parties
Maintain a design library of relevant design guides, standards and software.
Identify and facilitate technical training for staff
Provide technical support for field support issues.
Skills and Duties
Have a fundamental technical understanding of all the company’s products
Display extensive technical knowledge spanning process and controls
Qualifications & Education Requirements
Degree – Chemical/Process or relevant equivalent
Experience Required
Proven track record of process design in Oil & Gas or related Industry
10-15 years experience in Oil & Gas or closely related industry
