Job description / Role
Employment: Full Time
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to be based in Dubai who has 10+ years of experience preferably involved in giving support to the project managers, site team, and another department
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support the Head of Construction on the day-to-day tasks.
Reviews client RFPs and requirements, work out designs ( with consultant support as needed ), and prepare detailed designs, timelines, and Bill of Materials when required for execution.
Provide support for the procurement department for material selection throughout all procurement processes.
Supports estimation for new projects during the bidding process
Provide input into the development of the Project Schedule.
Manages technical coordination meetings with clients, contractors, and utility providers
Prepares and reviews pre-construction documentation including shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, Quality Plans, HSE plans, and Commissioning Plans
Reviews projects progress including project schedule and quality control/ auditing
Oversees all project activities in various locations worldwide.
Contributes to the commercial success of projects, supporting the commercial team in the valuation of works incorporating change management, and claims
Stands in for the Head of Construction during his absence and leads the PMO team during this time.
Requirements
10+ years of experience preferably involved in giving support to the project managers, site team, and other departments. should have a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) Minimum of 10+ years of Lead Electrical Engineering experience (Project Management experience is desirable). Thorough understanding of Electrical standard engineering principles. Must be familiar with American, BS, and International standards and codes. Experience in remote location construction including sizing of island mode installations is an advantage. Good Knowledge of construction/ engineering (Civil & Mechanical experience is an advantage).
