Job Title: Principal/Senior Consultant Energy Transition
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE or Al Khobar KSA
You must reside in that region to apply for this role.
Penspen www.penspen.com is a global energy consultancy focused on midstream and upstream facilities with a rapidly developing role in energy transition. Our services include asset integrity/risk management, asset management, engineering and project management. Typical projects involve onshore and offshore pipelines, gathering systems, processing facilities and energy transition. We are organised regionally with a centralised corporate supporting team to provide differentiating technical support to development of methodology, staff development, technically promoting Penspen, winning and executing technical work.
To add to this corporate team, we are looking for talented individuals with a proven track record in winning and delivering consultancy work related to the production and use of hydrogen. The role will be based in the East Region (either Abu Dhabi UAE or Al Khobar KSA) to support the growth in Energy Transition opportunities in the Middle East.
ONLY APPLY if you reside in the work location and have demonstrable experience in the below:-
Graduate / postgraduate degree in a related subject.
>15 years Energy Sector experience (Senior/Principal Engineer role)
>5 years direct Energy Transition (Hydrogen and/or Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS)) experience
Significant practical "hands on" experience and the delivery of technical, economic and strategic studies related to Energy Transition.
Good understanding of pros and cons of the scaling up renewables, green hydrogen production, storage and detailed know of its application, particularly within the transportation industry.
Experience of business development and client relationship management
Ability to work and respond effectively in challenging environments, alone or in a team
Good written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities:
Collaborating with East Region team and EVPs to define support requirements.
In collaborating with the East Region team EVPs develop a winning hydrogen strategy
Develop independent business in accordance with an agreed plan
Supporting proposal development, marketing and project execution remotely or onsite as required
Comply with Penspen’s QA, HSE policy and procedures.
