Principal Quality Operations Specialist, McderMott, Dubai, UAE

Job Overview:

Directly responsible for product quality on the project. Implements Project Quality Plan to achieve product quality and assists Project Quality Manager in Quality planning of the project both Onshore & Offshore.

Liaise with Operations Managers (Fab / Marine), Project Manager (Director), Operations Engineer, PMT, Discipline Manager, Project Engineers, Field Engineers, Certification Supervisor, Certifying Authority, Client and supervise. Senior Quality Inspectors, Quality Inspectors, QC Discipline Leads (administratively).

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Reviews contract scope of work, specification, Project Execution Plan, accepted clarifications / qualifications, Past projects Lessons Learned and identify unique requirements or special processes on the project which requires effective control.

Directs, supervises and participates in the Construction activities of the Project to assure product quality.

Initiate and issue procedures / Inspection and Test plans necessary to achieve the product quality.

Identify and deploy adequate and qualified QC Manpower and equipment. Assure proper utilization of resources to achieve target Quality and Productivity

Ensure implementation of the Project Quality Plan during Construction / Installation phase.

Subcontractor Fabrication - Participate in audit, approval / evaluation, TBE review, execution, attending PIM / KOM.

Support Construction group to evaluate Fit for Purpose evaluation for non- conforming items.

Interact / Coordinate with Procurement Quality, Engineering, Fabrication, Marine and QC Leads for any technical issues to the satisfaction of contract / customer.

Liaise with the QC / NDT // Coating/ Welding/ Certification Personnel and Customer to ensure that issues related to Quality are addressed and technically resolved.

Liaise with the TPI / Certifying Authority on Construction / Installation related documents to seek verification, assessment and appraisal.

Oversee the Project Certification as construction progresses and ensure approval of documents / packages and monitors progress of mechanical completion.

Monitor the performance of QC Technicians, QC Inspectors and QC Supervisors to ensure project quality performance throughout the Construction and Installation phase.

Analyze the quality non-compliance occurred and ensure implementation of corrective actions to avoid occurrence or recurrence throughout the project.

Log Quality related ‘lessons-learned' throughout the Construction / Installation stages of the project.

Conduct Readiness Review meetings with all QA/QC disciplines.

Assist Manager Assurance for root cause analysis (RCA) of CONQ data.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

Engineering Degree / Diploma.

Mechanical or Structural or E&I or equivalent.

10+ years in Offshore & Marine Construction, QA Auditing.

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

Lead Assessor and CSWIP & AWS

Project / Area / Regional Specifics:

MENA client’s approval for Construction Quality Manager.

DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

The Credit Controller is responsible for the proactive evaluation, investigation and timely collection of outstanding accounts receivables. The role leads customer accounts as defined by sales volume, credit exposure, risk and/ or other factor(s).

Proactively manage assigned accounts through the invoice to cash cycle to include collections, credit line administration and billing dispute identification and resolution.

Serve as the single point of contact for inquiries, requests and issues related to accounts receivable for an assigned portfolio of customers.

Dues follow-up closely specially with direct end -user " Govt & private entities" with field visits

Perform customer reviews to ensure that accounts remain within the assigned credit limits as well as assess and mitigates financial risk and escalate to relevant stakeholder

Motivate desired customer payment behavior through timely and insightful contact with customers. Employ collection technique and negotiation to improve cash flow and build a favorable financial relationship and customer experience.

Collaborate internally with Sales, Supply Chain, etc. to respond to customer related inquiries. Participate in negotiations and contribute to cross-functional, end-to-end solutions to improve cashflow and the customer experience.

Applying Debts Securitization

Produce routine reports and make summaries for local & regional Management.

Meet dashboard metrics related to Cash Collection

Perform all I2C J&J procedures as the need arises, in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Education:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required

Finance, Accounting or Economics degree is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

Proven 4 years experience in Finance, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Accounting and dealing with UAE healthcare provider entities i.e. MOH, SEHA, DOHM, private Hospitals and Clinics.

Experience in Banks transactions "Trade & finance"

Arabic & English Language requirements –

Microsoft Office – Intermediate skill level is required. Proficiency to use Excel charts, pivot tables, vlookup features without coaching/guidance.

Process Excellence knowledge or certification would be useful

Strong negotiation skills required.

Preferred:

Customer Service or Administrative function, or related, is preferred.

SAP P01 and JDE 8.12 AR experience is strongly preferred.

Strong collaboration and relationship building skills, negotiation skills, customer service skills, attention to detail, process orientation, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to present financial data in a significant way cross functionally /cross Sector/ cross region and to different levels of leadership, problem solving skills, sense of urgency is preferred.
