Your day to day
Working in the Communications function of one of the world’s largest hotel groups is both challenging and rewarding in equal measure.

Purpose of the role
The role supports the Corporate Communications Manager & Director (based in Dubai), and requires working in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders across key markets in IMEA. This includes colleagues and stakeholders across offices in Dubai, Riyadh and Gurgaon, regional and local media, creative and PR agencies as well as government contacts.
What we need from you
Media engagement
- Regular liaison with Arabic media to build relationships
- Secure interview, profiling , Op-ed or relationship building opportunities for IHG’s spokespeople
- Securing opportunities for participation in industry stories to maintain IHG’s SOV, particularly in KSA
- Assist in dissemination of specific media announcements (hotel signings, openings, talent campaigns, growth etc), especially in focus markets such as Saudi Arabia
Overall management
- Regular catch ups with key stakeholders (owners, General Managers, corporate colleagues) on key market updates, news hooks and media opportunities
Participation in events
- Highlight relevant industry events for IHG’s/ spokespeople participation, to the comms team, to build company/ spokesperson profile, especially in Saudi Arabia
- Provide on ground support for industry events – specifically for media interviews at the venue
Content development
- Develop and share media profiles for spokesperson interviews and anticipated talking points
- Develop and share panelist profiles for event participation
- Coordinate for information with teams on ground – Revenue, Commercial, HR etc
- Support in development of press material – news releases, articles etc
- Support in developing and posting external content on digital channels
- Support in developing and disseminating internal content and executing internal townhall/ events
Campaigns support
- Support Communications team in executing campaigns in focus markets
Coverage/ impressions reporting
- Share complied coverage update for events/ campaigns/ press releases
- Create monthly media measurement reports
- Create regional reports around market context for senior leadership
- Update global and regional communications calendars
