What we think you 'should' know:

    Experience with at least one of IaaS cloud providers: AWS, Azure, Google, Softlayer, OpenStack
    Hands on experience with *NIX operating system flavors' (Redhat, Ubuntu, Suse and UNIX)
    A good grasp of internet and networking elements such as TCP/IP, HTTP and DNS, routing, switching, firewall etc.
    Must have an understanding low level Linux operating systems concepts, kernel, block device, memory management, drivers, syslog.
    Experience with Linux Kernel level troubleshooting.
    Experience with at least one configuration management tool (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
    Beginner to Intermediate level shell scripting.

What you ‘must’ have:

    Hands on experience with delivering 2-3 cloud build projects/engagements
    Expert/Professional level Certification on at least one public cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Your roles and Responsibilities

    Azure/AWS Infrastructure SME should have a minimum experience level of 5 - 7 years, with evidence of exposure to Azure/AWS logical constructs such as Enterprise enrolments, Subscriptions, and Resource Groups
    Azure/AWS Infrastructure (network, compute, storage, availability designs) deployment projects during this time
    Deploying Enterprise solutions of varying complexity on Azure/AWS cloud platforms in 1 or more regions
    Azure/AWS integration aspects for hybrid solutions such as WAN networking, ExpressRoute, VPN, B2B, B2C, Active Directory, etc.
    Knowledge of cloud-native and 3rd party tools for management, monitoring security and automation
    Automation and orchestration tools knowledge such as ARM, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, etc, as well as scripting skills such as PowerShell, JSON, YAML,
    Detailed design document writing at a suitable standard for medium complexity and higher projects
    Change management aspects and service management knowledge,
    Completing testing programs, checks and procedures, hand over to production etc.
    Experience of upgrades, consolidation, and new deployments.
    Azure fundamentals/AWS associate certification as a minimum
    Knowledge and Certification on one or more other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, OCI) is desirable

POSITION SUMMARY:

B Capital Group is looking for an outstanding IT Support Engineer to join our growing global IT team. You will be supporting full cloud-based technologies and end user devices that help with our investment processes.

You should understand Networking, System Administration and Helpdesk Support. Although you are not expected to be an expert in any one of these areas, you will need to manage them at various times and hold your own on a technical level.

BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Work as a global IT operations team providing world class support to the company
    Handle global employee onboarding and offboarding
    Provide day-to-day IT operational support to employees
    Provides effective and timely resolution for users’ problems and queries
    System and account management of Software-as-a-Service applications used by the company
    IT asset management including procurement and inventory management
    User guides and policy creation and documentation
    Keep abreast of technology evolution and recommend upgrades or improvements

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Graduated with Bachelor degree in Computer Science /Information Technology or relevant degree  
    At least 3 years of relevant experiences in cloud networking, System Administration and Helpdesk Support
    IT certification is advantageous
    Experience with Office 365, Network and Server equipment is preferred
    Experience in supporting Windows or MacOS systems
    Experience in IT documentation and inventory management
    Experience in IT procurement and vendor management
    Able to work independently, resourceful in exploring and understanding the technologies used by the company
    Able to troubleshoot technical issues remotely
    Able to work with users of variable technical prowess
    Experience in white glove or VIP support
    Experience with PowerShell scripting and usage
    Ability to occasionally work outside normal office hours to accommodate United States time zones, including responding to timely urgent  requests as needed
    Strong customer-oriented attitude and interpersonal skills
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Your role

Experience using payroll is desirable but not essential, but will be a requirement of the position. As this role is based predominantly based from home, you must be able to self-manage, have excellent time management and prioritisation skills while delivering a high degree of accuracy and professionalism at all times.
