Operations Manager, Dubai, UAE

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Develop, direct and monitor the operations of exhibitions organized by the DWTC.

Plan, manage and control the budget for executing the operations and logistical requirements for the exhibitions.

Create and devise innovative and cost-efficient solutions to operational issues and show presentation format.

Ensure expenditure is planned, managed and controlled within the appropriate limits laid down in the business plan

Plan and implement effective cost measures including implementation of new revenue streams from 3rd party suppliers/ contractors to increase the profitability of the department.

Provide leadership, support, coaching, training and direction to the operations team

On site halls management throughout each exhibition, ensuring smooth running of the show

Meet regularly with all relevant contractors and suppliers to ensure that services are provided as required.

Follow & implement the DWTC Policies & Procedures

Implement duties in line with the Quality standards, Security and Health & Safety requirements.

Continually seek opportunities to develop self and if applicable subordinates.

Implement any other duties as assigned by the Department Head.

Qualifications and Skills 

Project management, people management and budget formulation skills required. 

Proven record of exhibitions operations management.

At least 5 to 7 years of exhibitions operations experience in a show organizer capacity, Or training in the field of exhibition operations

Proven leadership experience and capabilities

Excellent Computer literacy including AutoCAD
