Job Description:

Senior Electrical Engineer

Qatar, Doha

Parsons is seeking a motivated Senior Electrical Engineer with a desire to enhance the fabric of our community by contributing to challenging and impactful projects

In this role, you will manage complex engineering assignments while coordinating project activities across multiple construction projects. You will apply advanced engineering techniques, utilize CAD/CAE tools, and oversee technical deliverables. Additionally, you will take on project coordination responsibilities, including managing Requests for Information (RFIs) for up to 13 construction projects, ensuring timely responses, and facilitating communication between internal teams, clients, and suppliers.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Perform complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.

• Extract engineering information from CAD drawings and prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.

• Complete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes.

• Frequently interface with other engineering disciplines and departments to ensure project alignment.

• Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials, review supplier drawing submittals, and perform technical bid analyses.

• Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.

• Provide technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.

• Coordinate and manage RFIs across 13 different construction projects, ensuring timely responses and resolution of issues.

• Track and monitor project deliverables, timelines, and milestones to ensure adherence to project schedules.

• Facilitate communication between internal teams, external clients, and suppliers to resolve project-related issues and ensure alignment on project objectives.

• May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.

• May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering and project coordination matters.

• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related field)

• Minimum 8 years of related work experience.

• Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.

• Experience in project coordination, including managing RFIs and facilitating communication across multiple construction projects, is highly desirable.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage RFIs and coordinate deliverables across multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and contractors.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address project challenges and ensure timely resolution.

• Knowledge of construction processes, codes, regulations, and ordinances.

• Proficiency in project management tools and software is a plus.

• Professional Engineer (PE) registration may be required.
