Project Overview:
Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.
Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, the M&M global business unit also has offices in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in Australia along with execution units in the United States, Peru, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India and other project locations around the world.
To support ongoing and future project delivery, Bechtel is currently seeking a Office Services Manager to join the team at our sites in GCC countries (Arab states: Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates).

Job Summary:
Manages one or more large office or administrative functions providing a variety of services. Functions include but are not limited to project administration, office services, building operations and services, office facilities planning, and office facilities related projects. Develops and recommends new and/or improved system and procedures where necessary. Develops standards, forecasts, and budgets for these services. Investigates, analyses, and recommends new technologies and systems to improve work processes while staying compliant with Bechtel and regulatory requirements. Provides proposal and project support managing access to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
Major Responsibilities:
- Assists with preparation of original designs, layouts, detail drawings and specifications requiring the application and adaptation of complex architectural tools and techniques
- May participate in budget process and/or lease negotiations
- Helps determine subcontractor and resource requirements for assigned design and construction
- May provide input to subcontractors and suppliers
- Helps coordinate all design and construction with office services staff, or suppliers and subcontractors
- Provides guidance and direction to projects on construction moves.
- Identifies ways to help reduce costs and improve efficiency when planning new construction;
- Identifies problems with conflicting design requirements and helps develop ideas and possible solutions
- May initiate project MR’s and FSR’s for project office supplies and building support.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency and experience in budget management and preparation of work plans.
- Knowledge of Bechtel, Government and industry standards, practices, and regulatory requirements related to facility management, office services, and records and information management.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, including proven success in managing multiple work priorities, driving process improvements, and developing and executing long term plans.
- Working knowledge in various O&AS disciplines, including knowledge of O&AS policies and programs preferred.
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of a diverse, global organization and to make presentations to senior managers, committees, or large gatherings as necessary.
- Must have the ability to address the concerns of all levels of Bechtel employees and to resolve problems or issues.
- An experienced senior manager with previous oversight responsibilities directing the activities mentioned above.
- Candidate must have demonstrated leadership capabilities, with an emphasis on quality, team building, and work process improvement.
