Job Description:

Role Synopsis

The Drilling Engineer Intern will acquire basic knowledge of Drilling Engineering and a good understanding of the assigned project in this Wells sub-discipline. They will be exposed to data/information in order to gather and perform analysis, and will need to communicate the learnings to the bp Wells Team through a presentation and report.

Key Accountabilities

Participate in all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) related activity within the team.
Work assigned to assist team, including one coherent activity – the assignment project – which will continue throughout the assignment.
Visits to service company yards for witnessing tests, making up equipment, and for learning.
Provide presentation and report about the assignment project which will be evaluated by Coach/Team Leaders.
Some training will be offered as needed by the work.

Essential Education

Chemical, Process, Civil, Petroleum, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering degree
Accumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Open for 2023, 2024, 2025 graduates

Essential Criteria

Good English and Arabic communication skills, both oral and written
Flexible for field visits

Desirable Criteria

Dynamic, goal-focused and career-oriented
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and across different disciplines
Aptitude to innovate and be open to new ideas
Analytical and creative mind: ability to explain thinking, identify implications and causal relationships
Teamwork: ability to see things from others’ perspectives and work cooperatively with others

No travel is expected with this role
