Duration: 12-Month Project (Extendable)
We are supporting a leading financial institution in Dubai in hiring a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing complex enterprise network infrastructure, supporting network transformation and modernization projects, and ensuring high availability, performance, and security across hybrid IT environments.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Mandatory certification: CCIE – Enterprise or Datacenter.
Preferred certifications: CISSP, Azure, or Cloud Solution Architect.
Advantageous: ITIL, PMP, or PRINCE2 certifications.
Experience
Minimum 15 years of experience in enterprise-level IT network infrastructure.
Proven track record in network operations, transformation, and project delivery within large organizations, preferably in BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, Insurance).
Experience managing vendors, hybrid infrastructure, and SD-WAN solutions.
Key Skills
Expert-level knowledge of Routing, Switching, SD-WAN, and Cloud Networking (Azure).
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba Wireless, SolarWinds, PRTG, Checkpoint, F5, IDS/IPS.
Strong troubleshooting abilities using tools such as Wireshark.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Ansible.
Deep understanding of TCP/IP, NAC, dot1x, and endpoint network security.
Experience with IT governance, audits, and SLA/KPI-driven environments.
Excellent documentation, reporting, and technical writing skills.
Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support network transformation and migration projects across hybrid environments.
Administer, optimize, and monitor enterprise and cloud network infrastructure.
Manage third-party vendors, service providers, and ensure compliance with contract terms.
Ensure continuous availability and performance of mission-critical systems.
Enforce security policies and support IT audits and risk management initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project execution and technical validation.
Maintain system documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
Act as a senior technical escalation point for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Support 24/7 critical operations as needed.
