Job Description
Are you a player with hunger to craft and drive The LEGO Group’s commercial strategy in our Branded Channels across our diverse Market Group REEMEA? Bring your strategic commercial expertise and curiosity to help us inspire and develop many more builders of tomorrow!
Core responsibilities
Develop regional B2B Branded Channels Integrated Commercial Plan (ICP) to deliver in-line with our global channel strategy & scale standard process from LEGO Retail.
Lead tracking and action planning for mitigation if/when Market Group's Branded Channel performance is off track vs ICP commitments.
Bring the cross-channel/channel agnostic and well-rounded view across REEMEA region (mainly LEGO Certified Stores (LCS) but also consolidating for the full branded channel including LEGO.com & LEGO Branded Retail)
Participate in Global forums as the expert in Branded Channel for REEMEA – to scale standard processes, build ‘one-voice’ commercial inputs to global processes, chip in to the future global channel strategy etc.
Be the Subject Matter Expert advisor in regional forums for Branded Channel and partner with the Branded Channel Centre of Excellence to elevate regional Business to Business Branded Channel capability
Monitor stores performance in both top and bottom line. Work with the B2B Branded Channel Sales team to take adequate actions in case of underperformance.
Develop and supervise LCS expansion plans and monitor performance of existing store base across markets (both in terms of like-for-like and total growth)
Develop and implement strategic commercial projects and contribute to the REEMEA Regional Commercial Development agenda
Play your part in our team succeeding
Regional Commercial Development team in REEMEA (Russia, Emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa) acts as a commercial partner to our markets (General Managers and Sales teams) in making sensible commercial decisions to reach more kids in a sustainable way.
These decisions include, among other, channel strategy, assortment strategy and listings, customer segmentation and sales excellence; and are articulated in local commercial plans led by the team. As a regional team, we translate the global commercial agenda into regional priorities, in addition to identifying specific REEMEA initiatives.
The team has two legs where part of team has broad regional responsibilities and part supports directly specific Business Units on the ground, to ensure proximity to customers and General Managers.
This role reports to the Head of Regional Commercial Development in REEMEA.
Do you have what it takes?
Long term experience with a strong history of business performance in commercial roles.
Extensive and current perspective of the retail and channel landscape across REEMEA.
Strong commercial acumen, ability to build and interpret financial frameworks, models and scenarios to guide commercial investment decisions.
Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to operate at senior level with both internal and external stakeholders across functions, including experience of leading complex/challenging projects.
Strategically strong with a pragmatic approach to wider business challenges and ability to thrive when faced with ambiguity.
Mature analytical skills with a track record of turning insights into action plans.
A passion for newness, creativity and change management when proposing and implementing innovative ways to grow.
Proactive approach to unlocking opportunities and overcoming / mitigating challenges.
Strong collaborator comfortable working in matrix organization
Fluent English written and spoken
Mobility and willingness to travel (up to 20 days per year)
