Your Opportunity
We are looking for a Head of Marketing & Communications to create brand awareness , position and enhance the Serco brand and reputation in the market. This includes launching and building the brand in KSA. The role will establish a programme aligned to our strategy that connects Serco to key stakeholders to promote what we do and demonstrate the value of partnering with us. The role will connect internal and external brand management and ensure that we deliver a clear message of a cohesive business delivering International services locally.
The ideal candidate should have strong leadership, communication negotiation and influencing skills;
This role is part of the Business Continuity – Marketingand communications team and will be based in our corporate office in Dubai.
Key Accountabilities (Key elements of the job, avoid repetition)
Identify, develop, and evaluate internal and external marketing & communications strategy, based on corporate, business, patronage and revenue objectives.
Drive a collaborative programme across all core workstreams of growth including, strategy, BD, client engagement and bidding that maximises our brand exposure and value propositions.
Deliver the agreed milestones as set out in the Marketing and Communications strategy and annual plan, keeping within agreed budget.
Create and execute a new digital marketing communications strategy, including on-line monitoring and success feedback; that demonstrates tangible brand awareness exposure.
Collaborate and coordinate with contracts, Serco Middle East and Serco Group using effective stakeholder management to provide the most value to the business.
Identify, manage and execute contracts with vendors relating to marketing promotion; within the defined budget.
Evaluate market trends and competitor marketing strategies and keep up to date with the latest marketing techniques.
Promote the attraction, development and progression of Nationals to help Serco become an employer of choice for Nationals
Act as spokesperson of the company when required.
Manage WinWorkWell programme with representatives from across the division
Launch and promote the ExperienceLab brand in UAE and KSA
Launch and create awareness and positioning of the Serco brand in KSA with a country specific marcomms plan.
Support any group led / Investor relations activities
Support any M&A activity with communications elements
Specific Requirements (What we are looking for in our candidates)
A degree holder in marketing or business-related discipline,
Proficient in spoken and written English language, Arabic is desirable;
Ability to collaborate and manage complex internal and external stakeholders;
Strong leadership and communication skills;
Strong
Have an in-depth knowledge of brand development and multichannel marketing models.
Creative, self-motivated, with strategic thinking and business acumen;
Must be a skilled manager in communicating, motivating and developing staff;
Must be politically incisive in communicating effectively with government agencies, board members, media/press, contractors and staff;
Highly motivated and flexible to work in a time-sensitive environment to respond quickly and effectively to unanticipated high workloads, events and emergencies;
Ability to make well considered decisions based on complex information.
A minimum of 10 years of general public relations and marketing experience, at least 3 of those in a leadership position.
