Job summary
Mission
• Advising and testing the devices and machinery that are used in manufacturing processes, with focus on the systems and equipments involved in transforming materials into products.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
• 12+ years in Petrochemical field, Polyethylene projects;
• Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
• Reviews the project technical documentation and the contractual requirements;
• Defines commissioning work packages and prepare the relevant procedures with the assistance of discipline engineers;
• Supervises commissioning field activities;
• Ensures safe execution of all commissioning activities through the application of the work permit procedure;
• Coordinates activities of vendor representatives and subcontractors;
• Making improvements and giving advices about operational procedures;
• Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines;
• Ensuring equipment works to its specification;
• Creating and carrying out test procedures;
• Investigating problems and diagnosing and repairing faults;
• Troubleshooting;
• Liaising with installation / project engineers;
• Supervising engineering and technical staff;
• Writing reports and documentation;
• Providing technical support;
• Ensuring safe working conditions;
• Training maintenance and operative staff where appropriate.
Location: Abu Dhabi office, UAE
Contract duration: 1 year (extendable);
Starting date: May 2023.
