Key responsibilities:
Developing and executing strategies to position DP World as port of choice for shipping lines and Cargo owners (BCOs)
Expanding market share by attracting new businesses including shipping lines and BCOs
Ensuring the retention of existing businesses by providing best in class services.
Developing the budget in line with the company strategic plans to meet the financial objectives, increasing profitability and generating new revenue streams.
Managing and meeting customers relevant expectation and complying with SLAs
Ensuring the Terminal partnering program (TPP) is implemented and measured as per agreement.
Manage the internal and external stakeholders so that the service DP World delivered to its customers is in line with the customer’s requirements.
Develop stickiness strategy to retain and attract BCOs to use DP World P&T facility as Port of Choice
Continuously loo for profitable business opportunities, developing new product ad find new market
Identifying customers’ needs and turn it to opportunities
Develop Multi-modal logistical solutions including Last, middle and first miles
Drive DP World logistics business growth to ensure optimum utilization of the logistics services.
Develop strategies to promote DP World Digital Services
Maximize customer adoption and usage of DP World Digital Services
Develop profitable associations with relevant stakeholder by promoting DP World Digital services
Enhance Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to incorporate all commercial processes and systems as part of overall commercial strategy to attract and retain customers.
Improve and re-engineer business processes through innovation and application of technology to provide better customer services and enhanced business transactions.
Building strong, profitable and long-term client relationships
Conduct internal audits to ensure processes and procedures followed are in accordance to DP World standards and in line with required ISO procedures.
Identify/introduce appropriate technology to organize, automate and synchronize business processes to deliver effective services
Design, build, evaluate, improve, and deploy BI solutions (Dashboards)
Maintain data analytics platforms, and create visualizations and reports for requested projects
Develop Business analysis platform to display the market performance (Macro/Micro economics)
Perform other related duties as assigned
Promote and demonstrate positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principals.
Accountable for leading, mentoring and team engagement.
Providing direction, promoting collaboration and ensuring the team are enabled to achieve goals and objectives of the business
Measure and monitor performance against critical criteria, policy and guidelines established by DP World
Ensure compliance to DP World, Environment, Health, Safety, Security & IT policies and procedures.
Understand and adhere to DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
Ensure adherence to DP World standards and policies.
Ensure data security is maintained to protect the privacy and interest of clients and key stakeholders.
Manage team of professionals and disseminating knowledge through continuous learning and development.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the line manager
Job requirements:
Qualifications: Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in business administration/logistics and supply chain/commerce
Experience: Minimum 10 to 15 substantial years of experience in handling commercial activities, broad customer-based relationship management, knowledge of shipping lines, agents, traders, Logistics, supply chain management and related activities
Competencies and skills:
Proficiency with shipping industry Shipping Lines and agents, the logistics industry as well as the Trading industry
Commercial Port system application- E-Services, EDI, CRM
Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel & Word)
Excellent interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and confidence to operate in a customer-centric manner and advanced in English
