RAK Academy is seeking a dynamic and committed Senior Manager Operations to join us for the Academic Year 2022-2023. This is an exciting role which will be directly reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
Over the past five years RAK Academy Family of Schools has grown significantly and our reputation for developing academic achievement and is well known as one of the international schools of choice in Ras Al Khaimah.
Job Purpose
Situated in the beautiful emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, RAK Academy is a family of five highly regarded international schools that provide both British and International Baccalaureate curriculum pathways. Our vision is to develop ‘Learning Excellence with a Community Heart’ with a core purpose of ‘delivering excellent learning opportunities, developing leadership skills at all levels, and providing responsive service, built upon an ethos of sustainability.
RAK Academy is looking for a positive, driven, and inspirational Senior Manager Operations to lead the Operations department. The successful candidate will manage, lead and direct the Operations team, including contractors, in line with the growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
· Highly developed experience in setting strategic direction in Operations.
· Ability to quality assure and hold accountable maintenance, facilities and cleaning contractors
· The capacity and capability to encourage innovation and creativity within the organization.
· Experience in developing and negotiating contracts with external contractors and suppliers for the benefit of the organisation
· Management of financial budgets and processes related to operations and facilities
· Excellent presentation skills and communication skills, written and oral.
· Ability to undertake quality assurance checks, audit and monitor operational outputs.
· Capable to build and develop healthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
· Proficiency on MS Microsoft and MS Project Management or similar software.
· Willingness to be outbound and hands-on throughout RAK Academy in supporting best practice, achievement of key objectives and driving up team performance
The candidate must have:
· Master’s degree preferably in Business Administration or industry-relevant equivalent is highly desirable.
· Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory in a relevant field.
· Current Health & Safety Qualification is mandatory (e.g. Nebosh)
· Experience with ISO Certified Standards and other Quality Assurance tools is desirable to fulfil this role.
· Experience with school construction and/or expansion projects desirable
