Parsons is now looking to hire an experienced Project Control Manager with a desire to work on a metro project that will change the fabric of our community. We need our Project Control Managers to be versatile as well as have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills. In this role you will develop, manage, and/or executes all phases of the project controls effort (planning/scheduling and cost analysis).
Responsibilities:
- Identifies, analyses, and provides innovative solutions to cost engineering and planning/scheduling problems.
- Prepares, coordinates, and present project controls strategies and tactics to senior management, as required.
- Provides generally non routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling guidance.
- Executes effective project controls measures for large or major project/program in accordance with project controls best practice approach
- Manages preparation of project cost status reports for the assigned project/program.
- Reviews contract drafts for adequacy of cost and scope definition and Project Controls requirements.
- Coordinates development of all data in support of negotiations and on-going contract administration.
- Directs project control activities. Develops, interprets, and executes policy, objectives, and standards applicable to cost and schedule control and analysis activities.
- Prepares the Project Controls Plan for assigned project/program.
- Prepares & reviews earned value Data, proposal financial summaries.
- Plans staffing needs for assigned project/program.
- Liaises with Management to identify project specific training required for technical staff
- Conducts periodical performance reviews of third-party personnel, provide feedback and maintain records
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or related field)
- 12+ years of related experience, including supervisory/managerial experience
- Cost in engineering functions, including cost estimating, control, and analysis, and planning and scheduling functions
- Expert level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and commissioning work processes.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.

- Commercial / business acumen
- Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks/projects.
- Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals both inside and outside the organization.
- Ability to work well as an integral part of a large Project Team that includes all Engineering disciplines.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
