About the role
As a Project Lead, you would be responsible to manage the delivery of assigned projects/assignments as per the industry best practices & established procedures, quality standards and KPIs. Your key responsibilities will also include overall resource management for the assigned portfolios (various Lines of Business) working closely with Program Managers, HR, IT PMO & Vendors.
Your Responsibilities
Fulfill the resource requirements for the assigned Line of Business to meet the project timelines
Optimize resource utilization across projects within the portfolio by timely reassignment of resources considering the holistic program resource demand.
Work with IT Senior Manager/Project Managers to develop & maintain a highly efficient resourcing plan
Work very closely in an efficient manner with HR/IT PMO in timely scheduling & conduct of new hire interviews, and managing the onboarding process
Overcoming resource shortages by means of resource management techniques, reallocating resources, assigning more staff, etc; informing senior management of any issues related to inability to meet the needs due to resourcing.
Efficiently manage any unplanned priorities by readjusting/adapting to the changed scenarios.
Perform the role of SCRUM master for the assigned SCRUM teams
Perform the role of Project Manager for the assigned projects which could include inhouse developments, package implementations, automated testing projects etc.
Develop and maintains detailed project plan and other associated project artefacts.
Responsible for reporting project status to IT Management, business unit project sponsor and other key stakeholders, as needed.
Coordinate and organize day-to-day project activities including coordination with multiple stakeholders within IT and business, planning, reviews, communication, escalations

Qualifications
Qualification:
Bachelor Degree with minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing the project management life cycle of IT projects with hands on experience on resource management, project delivery for large programs of 100+ resources.
Relevant experience in Software Development, Maintenance & Support projects will be an added advantage
Managing multiple vendors in large programs
Working in multi-cultural environment, and with multiple teams & project managers
Job Specific Skills:
Good understanding of Waterfall-iterative & Agile Software Development Life Cycle
Good understanding of scrum concepts.
Good understanding of Software Quality Assurance & Testing processes
Ability to manage the resourcing of IT project resources (Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, Testers etc.) and foster teamwork among the members
Should be self-motivated, highly patient and an ability to adapt to changes with “Never Give Up” attitude.
Good Communication skills
Must have good problem-solving skills
Must have good interpersonal skills in dealing with peers, vendors & customers
Airline industry experience though not essential would be an added advantage
Work experience in Middle East environments
