·         Participating in delivery of Fluids Environmental Services by assisting in the installation and operation of FES equipment (dryers, pumps, vacuums, etc) and supporting in the maintenance and fabrication of equipment before and after the service job.

·         Assisting rig setups, troubleshooting efforts, maintenance routines, and attending all safety meetings.

FGE's Dubai is expanding its operations. As such, we are looking to recruit an Upstream Oil Analyst to join our team of global oil market experts.

We are a team of experienced professionals with a wide range of international clients, mainly oil companies, financial institutions and producer governments. Consultancy services include the provision of regular research, interacting with clients and undertaking special studies and reports. Analysing Upstream Oil as part of the global team, the successful candidate will enhance their already strong numeric and analytical skills and eventually becoming a regional or subject expert. Working alongside the Global Oil team of upstream, refining and economic specialists, the successful candidate will have exposure to the complete oil cycle giving the successful driven and motivated candidate an accelerated learning curve and unparalleled exposure to the industry.

 

The role:

  • · Analysing upstream oil from both a general as well as in-depth perspective.
  • · Working inside existing methodologies to calculate supply forecasts by field and by stream.
  • · Reviewing and modelling field production for crude and condensate output.
  • · Providing input into our reports and leading upstream focused project work/studies.
  • · Being part of a global oil team and work together across various service lines and products.
  • · Performing an active role in client relations.

    Specific Tasks:

    • Provide analysis and interpretation of current and future trends in upstream operations (production rates, well modelling, tracking of projects, financial analysis of E&P companies, crude trade).
    • Play a key role in developing the company’s short, medium, long-term outlook for crude production and trade.
    • Contribute to one or more flagship research reports produced by the company (weekly, monthly and annual basis), covering upstream oil and crude prices.
    • Contribute to projects for clients – either in response to specific requests, or as multi-client reports.
    • Interact with clients and company offices in other regions (by email, telephone, in person presentations and video-conferencing).
    • Providing commentary on market movements and changes.

The Role and Responsibilities

 

  • Collecting data and information with regards to market fundamentals and pricing for Natural Gas Liquids.
  • Supply and demand forecasting for propane and butane.
  • Analysing macro and micro economic oil, gas, NGLs & LNG data.
  • Working as part of the NGLs team to generate price forecasts taking into account market fundamentals and forward pricing.
  • Analysing and modelling industry trends building forecasts, databases, and evaluations for FGE’s short-term and long-term NGLs services.
  • Report writing and contributing to FGE’s regular NGLs services (LPG & Condensate/Naphtha) via original research.
  • Coordinating and engaging in project and retainer work.
  • Providing research assistance to consultants and contributing towards client proposals and ad-hoc projects.
  • Preparing both internal and external client presentation material and answering client queries.

Applicant Requirements

The ideal applicant will be a highly numerate graduate with oil industry experience; alternatively, from a finance, engineering, economics or similar background, and will possess the following attributes:Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, mathematics, economics, or oil and gas related discipline.

 POSITION OBJECTIVE

  • The individual will work in close collaboration with the merchandise department to provide and assist with streamlining and automating merchandise functions across the platform. i.e MFP / Assortment planning/ OTB control / Attribute output.
  • The person will be a major stake holder and SPOC for Automation and Reports for Merchandising Department
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Excel macros to create reports and Dashboards and automate daily processes for Planning and Merchandising Department.
  • Use SQL to fetch data sets from DBMS, Google Studio and the like.
  • Develop Programs to enhance and automate “Demand and Supply Planning.
  • Reviewing dashboards, reports and dumps to ensure data accuracy.
  • Be able to pull data dumps from multiple sources, clean the data into usable format and create reports.
  • Develop ad hoc reports and applications for demand, supply and planning team to reduce load and ease work process with the help of latest tools.
  • Liaise across various stakeholders for data sources and accuracy and complete required task assignments on time
  • Have excel working knowledge to be able to create pivots, data queries, do Vlook Ups and upload files on front end systems.
Skill Set Required
  • Advanced Excel skills with hands on knowledge (Macros & Power-Query, Pivot Tables, V-look Ups etc in creating summary dashboards from large sets of data)
  • Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, Google Data Studio is mandatory
  • Knowledge of Python is a plus.
  • Ability to understand basic retail and ecommerce principles.
  • Analytical fast thinker, understanding complex set of data and be able to operate in a fast-paced pressured environment
