Our client is a growing global brand who seek to hire a part-time accounts payable clerk who is available immediately to make an instant impact.  

Responsibilities

    Perform day to day processing of supplier and intercompany invoices
    Perform supplier statement reconciliations to supplier accounts in the accounting system on at least a monthly basis
    Deal with supplier queries (phone and email) and, where required, liaise with colleagues in other areas of the business
    Assist with month-end and year-end processes as required, including liaising / working with auditors
    Produce ad hoc reports as requested
    Any other finance related tasks as required.

About the role

Fenix Outdoor and newly acquired Trekitt are now seeking an Accounting assistant to support our combined UK accounting operations, which is Fenix Outdoor UK, based in Gosport and Trekitt, based in Hereford.

Fenix Outdoor, listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm, sells outdoor products all around the world, with major markets in Germany, North America and the Nordics and net sales around 600 MEUR. We operate with three segments: Brands (like Fjรคllrรคven, Primus, Royal Robbins and Hanwag), Globals Sales and Retail (like Trekitt, Naturkompaniet and Globetrotter). All our brands and operations solve the need for high-quality, lightweight and durable outdoor products for our consumers (or as we like to call them, users). We do this through a selected retail network combined with a high-level of service and professionalism, because our users have high expectations in terms of quality, performance and sustainability.

In the UK, Fenix Outdoor is present in two entities, Fenix Outdoor UK, with operations based in Gosport, functions as a sales company distributing Fenix Outdoor brand products to external retailers and Trekitt. With our new addition of Trekitt retail company we will continue to sell Fenix Outdoor brand products along with external outdoor brands that align with our standards around quality and sustainability. Trekitt is based in Hereford, with a concentration of online sales. Total net sales of Fenix Outdoor in UK is around 25 MGBP.

As Accounting assistant, you will be responsible for keeping and interpreting financial records and a wide range of finance-related tasks. You will assistant our financial controller in monthly reporting on two operational companies to our local management, segment controllers and group accounting department for consolidation. You will also as local accounting assistant be involved in fulfillment to tax authorities, like reporting VAT.

This full-time, in-person role would be preferably located in Hereford, however we would also consider Gosport, assist and report to our financial controller, who is not located in UK. There is a possibility to grow within this role.

What you will do

Responsibilities:

    Manual loading of all daily sales from our OMS system to the Finance system, only for Trekitt
    For delivered goods matching vendor invoices to purchase order and delivered quantity
    Fixed asset registration
    Manually voucher registration in ERP system
    Assist in monthly uploading to Group consolidation system and elimination of Group internal transactions
    Assist financial controller in monthly management accounts which include producing an accounts pack.
    Assist in monthly reconciliation of balance accounts
    Be involved in contact with local external auditors
    VAT reporting
    Monthly salary payment – support by external payroll firm
    HR served from Fenix Outdoor centrally

Who you are

Requirements:

    3+ years of experience in accounting.
    An analytical mindset
    Good knowledge in Excel
    Flexibility toward changing and adapting priorities
    Self-awareness toward strengths and development opportunities
