As the Upstream Senior Sales Executive, you will be responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive business strategy to expand KBC’s presence in the Middle East upstream sector. This key role is central to the success of digital transformation and sustainability initiatives across the regional upstream clients. You will lead upstream sales and business development by building strategic relationships and aligning client needs with KBC's value proposition, while managing pipelines, and delivering tailored solutions that meet business and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the regional upstream business development strategy, integrating consulting and technology into a unified sales approach.
- Driving robust business growth by aligning company objectives with customers strategies through effective account plan management.
- Develop and sustain executive client relationships, regularly engaging with decision-makers and promoting long-term value creation.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date CRM data, including opportunity records and account plans, to support pipeline transparency and decision-making.
- Maintain a sales pipeline at least 3x the annual quota, supporting sustainable revenue through proactive lead generation.
- Identify and close high-value, multi-disciplinary projects, utilizing diagnostic sales strategies to understand client needs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (consulting, technology, and delivery) to build and implement successful offerings.
- Lead commercial strategy and negotiations, managing contracts, pricing, and profitability while ensuring mutual value.
- Lead solution design efforts for complex upstream deals, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align solutions with client-specific needs.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related technical field is preferred. (Master's degree is a plus).
- Significant experience in consulting, sales management, or business development, with emphasis on upstream energy markets.
- Extensive knowledge of upstream technologies and operations, such as exploration, production, and asset optimization.
- Proven track record managing complex, high-value consulting and technology sales in global organizations.
- Extensive Middle East experience, including knowledge of cultural, economic, and legal differences across the region.
- Demonstrated ability to engage C-level stakeholders, manage long sales cycles, and influence strategic decisions.
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, and delivery teams to co-develop client strategies.
