Job Description:

The Medical Director is a key member of the Middle East Africa Team team, reporting to the Head of MEA. This role is designed to provide high quality medical expertise to IPSEN affiliates and Partners in the region for Specialty Care Commercial Operations.

In this role your primary focus will be:

Coordination and coaching of Area medical team

Support, oversee, coordinate partners’ local medical teams on all aspect of Ipsen Medical Affairs activities in the Area

Summarize and advise on the Area medical activities to Line and Functional management. Provide local medical input from Partners into area operating and strategic plans

Product and market support, promotion

Support and build with Partners a yearly Medical Affairs action plan including Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) mapping, advisory boards, medical education (CME, Symposium…), training, publication plan and clinical projects.

Set and develop local medical strategy and annual medical operation plan

Knowledge management

Maintain, continuously update and share with and Partners expert medical knowledge and experience in relation to IPSEN and competitor products, related disease(s), treatment(s) and competitive landscape(s)

Clinical Development

Assist Line and Functional management with the identification and prioritisation of Partners willing to participate in Corporate clinical programmes

Assist in the implementation of Corporate clinical programs (Franchises and GDD); closely monitor the execution of the programs to meet established budgets and deadlines for recruitment of patients.
