We are looking for a talented and skilled HSE & QC Manager to join our multicultural and diverse team in Kuwait. Cultivating and maintaining strong customer relationships the HSE & QC Manager will assist the leadership team in developing, managing, and monitoring the QHSE performance of the company.
Duties may include but will not be limited to:
Responsible for Company’s QHSE processes and procedures to ensure the Company maintains its accreditations (ISO9001 ISO14001 ISO45001), etc.
Responsible for management of and liaison with QHSE auditors to acquire/maintain Company’s accreditation.
Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures, identifying and assisting in implementing improvements.
Manage and monitor emergency procedures, signage, PPE, COSHH control etc.
Ensure that the company firefighting system is KFF and NFPA compliant.
Report on Company’s QHSE performance to the leadership team and statutory authorities as/when required.
Manage overall activities of QC Department in Steelmaking, Rolling Mill, and Lime Plant as well as Raw Materials & Scrap Inspection activities, to ensure strict adherence to quality standards.
Manage and oversees effective implementation of the quality policy and quality management system of QC testing laboratories in Steelmaking, Rolling Mill Plants, and Lime Plant.
Ensuring that no rejected billets or Rebars are dispatched to internal or external clients.
Improving, and reviewing new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and training staff to use them.
Ensuring that Product Certification is UpToDate and managing the internal and external audit process.
Qualification/Experience
Knowledge of the steel industry (Steel Making Plant and Rolling Mills Quality Control – Essential
Minimum of 10 years experience in the steel industry - Essential
Experienced in managing and implementing Quality Management Systems - Essential
Quality Assurance qualification from an accredited body or through experience - Essential
NEBOSH or similar qualification - Essential
BS Engineering; Preferably Metallurgical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering - Essential
Six Sigma Green/Black Belt – Desirable
SAP experience - Desirable
