As part of the launch of this company, Morgan Philips Executive Search is the exclusive partner of E.ON SE in driving all stages of the process related to the setup of the organization in the United Arab Emirates.
Morgan Philips Executive Search, the Headhunting Company, is assisting E.ON in the recruitment of a Sourcing Manager. The Sourcing Manager is accountable for active participation in the development of a global carbon market, while securing business growth for the project. She/He will define and deploy a common approach to all the business lines within the company through strategic roadmap, expertise, knowledge and leadership. Close to the clients, She/He aims to support them in reaching the success of their project.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
Define and build a strategic project portfolio providing carbon credits which will be traded on the company´s platform
Serve as an expert advisor on carbon market and project-related activities within the company.
Define business performance goals and metrics, while assisting the company in< implementing the practices.
Collect market data and identify industry trends in carbon emissions, identify and understand the market players and competitors.
Represent the company as an expert when required in client meetings, exhibitions and other corporate events.
Ensure regular follow-up with clients to ensure that their needs and recommendations are properly integrated internally.
Ensure compliance with all ESG standards and actions internally and within our clients.
Key Qualifications / Experience
Master's degree in environmental sciences, energy, climate or similar field.
+5 years of work experience, including relevant roles within the sustainability sector (climate conservation).
Expertise in Environmental Market, carbon emission projects and global standards.
Strong knowledge of companies’ best practices related to climate strategies (the Science Based Targets for Nature, Task Force on Nature Related Financial Disclosure (TNFD) and Net Zero pledges).
Experience in trading carbon and/or green certificates (GOO’s, I-REC’s, ROCs, Carbon Offsets, Carbon Allowances, etc.). Good understanding of compliance and regulations.
Experience with methodology development for certification of environmental impacts, preferably in the climate topic.
A solid understanding of the Greenhouse Gas Accounting model.
Outstanding interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with key internal and external stakeholders.
Customer-oriented profile with the ability to inspire action and get the best out of people.
Expertise in Environmental Market, carbon emission projects and global standards.
Fluent in English, any extra languages are an advantage.
