Responsibilities
Local Logistics process knowledge
An ability to interpret financial data and estimate costs
Relevant Oil Industry Experience
Computer Literate
Supervisory Experience
10+ years of Logistics Experience with demonstrable management experience
Shipping Dangerous Goods qualifications
High School Diploma / GED
Preferred:
Relevant Product Line knowledge
Relevant Systems and process knowledge
BA/BS Degree Qualified
Qualifications
Our Logistics Manager is the key logistics contact for issue resolution and is responsible for overall logistics planning including forecasting, modeling, and inventory projections. You will work closely with Global Logistics to develop strategies and coordinate the movement of both material and equipment to facility or field location. In addition you will coordinate all transport and shipping activity and associated off-loading, expediting activity.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Provide pricing and delivery for standard main components and spare parts
Review incoming Purchase Order/Order Requisitions determining correctness of pricing, delivery terms, MCP/Quality witnessing required, design Detail requirements, Packaging Requirements, part numbers, description, delivery dates
Determine Quality Control requirements including MCPs, third party witnessing and documentation of incoming orders
Review custom ordered components and provide Project Engineer with GA drawings for approvals
Review requirements for custom packaging, export limitations and requirements
Enter and acknowledge order into JDE
Highlight any discrepancies with PO vs. Sales Order including price, delivery, items ordered to customer
Provide information to Manufacturing to assist in prioritizing manufacturing schedule requesting changes in manufacturing schedule to meet changes in Region requirements
Receive and respond to questions from the Regions regarding orders
Provide Region with changes in delivery as required
Manage outside vendors for long-term production items
Organize the preparation for shipments with Shipping, Quality and Manufacturing
Direct shipping/receiving clerk as to priority of shipments, approve shipping documentation and methods of transportation
Request and review Quotations for shipping
Coordinate shipments with preferred freight forwarders and carriers including negotiating pricing, conditions and times of transit to ensure best transit.
Ensure freight is packaged in accordance to IATA and DOT standards
Verify with Region method of transportation, speed in which to ship and any special import requirements
Verify End User Statement is on file
Oversee facility/maintenance requirements ensuring safety of personnel
Know and understand Weatherford's Enterprise Excellence Program and the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
