Power Solutions Network – Project Management
Title: Program Manager: SG 23 – P303
LOCATION – UAE
TRAVEL – Remote site location up to ~ 80% on site at supply partners in the UAE

Job summary : As key member of the UAE based Caterpillar Electric Power team you will be responsible for Project Management of multi-million-dollar projects for some of Caterpillar’s largest global Electric Power customers.
With ownership and accountable for execution to ensure solutions, products and services are delivered; to quality, on time, on budget, to specification, you will be part of the team developing a global Power Solutions Network footprint to support our customers success, dealer needs and to provide supplier management and integration in region.
What you will do:
Undertake project management of multi-million-dollar projects related to Caterpillars Power Solutions Network business activity in the UAE with assigned supply base.
Establishing clear goals and timelines with our supply partners for the project execution, establishing of metrics/targets, monitoring progress and reporting status.
Ability to work remote at supply partner facilities.
Take ownership and accountable for executing key Power Solutions Network projects, delivering the results and leading implementation plans and liaising with the Caterpillars global team’s (as necessary) to achieve agreed upon targets and target dates.
Create and implement a cadence through project management on site with supply partners to achieve Safety, Quality and Velocity goals.
Ensure project cost targets are actively tracked, managed and reported.
Work across multiple disciplines and at all levels externally with supply partners and our Caterpillar customers and internally with Caterpillars Engineer teams (globally) and Caterpillar Dealers.
Reporting of project status / updates to Caterpillar leadership and customer senior leadership.
Develop and own the supply partner project delivery plans to ensure products and services are delivered, to quality, on time, on budget, to specification.
Aid the development of standard processes and tools that can be replicated with peers and network
Understand and deployment of Caterpillar design standards and manage supply partner capability.
Liaise with internal and external Engineering, Technical Sales, Sales and Marketing, and connect closely with our supply partners to deliver customer requirements
Manage programs (Projects) from order to delivery in collaboration with supply partners, customers and internally within Caterpillar.
Lead on site reviews with supply partners and customers.
You will have:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or minimum 5-10 years of experience or equivalent industry experience
Engineering and or purchasing experience, preferably in the Electric Power Industry
Proven project management experience. either as Purchasing, manufacturing or Direct / Dealer Sales experience.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) needed to communicate vision, fluent in written and spoken English and ability to present to Senior Leadership internal / external.
Advanced project management skills – ability to influence, build strong relationships, lead change management with capability and ability to network at all levels of an organization including senior management.
Strong time management skills
Expertise in use of MS Office, MS Project, CRM etc.,
Willing to travel as required – globally.
Top Candidates will also have:
Design and development experience in Diesel/Gas generators and/or packaging sound attenuated enclosures.
Experience in supplier development both in quality systems and lean manufacturing
Experience in on-site commissioning of diesel / gas powered generating set solutions
Knowledge of UAE logistics and taxation
Management of Operations or extended supply chain preferably in power generation applications
