Job Description
The Gas Power Kuwait Learning Center (KLC) Training Manager will lead the training team at the KLC to manage the delivery of technical training for our internal teams (Field Engineers, Craft, Repairs, On Site Services-OSS, Operations & Maintenance- O&M, Project Managers- PMO, & Contract Managers- CPM/CSL) and external customers. This role will partner with the various parts of the business (FieldCore, Regions, OSS, Steam Power, Aero, Repairs, PMO, & O&M) to deliver with the right resourcing and content, while providing a safe and effective learning environment. This role will partner with the GE Power training product leaders and project managers on all appropriate training solutions and will manage all operational aspects of the KLC including EHS compliance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the Gas Power Training team at the Kuwait Learning Center
- Lead the execution and development of Gas Power training for GE in the MEA Region
- Manage and support regional instructors
- Lead EHS compliance and proactive safety initiatives for the Gas Power Training at the Kuwait Learning Center
- Manage Kuwait Learning Center and its readiness to support training
- Work closely with the product line leaders, project managers and business leaders to ensure training meets the needs of the customer
- Maintain financial reporting and systems (PowerMax, ERP, etc.)
- Support customer training commercial offerings including the development of training proposals and scopes
- Aggressively manage cost and productivity for training programs and courses
- Lead internal and external resources responsible for development of curricula, training delivery
- Lead programs and processes aligned with global business needs including identification, development, and delivery of training programs
- Integrate training initiatives across the business
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience in Power Generation Industry
- Min 5 years of Operations experience (i.e., Services, Engineering, Commercial) in Power Generation or Oil & Energy
- Experience managing large, complex programs and budgets
- Demonstrated passion for employee learning
- Proven Customer Centric Mindset
- Ability to influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization
- Ability to communicate orally and written in English
Desired Characteristics
- Experience creating and leading a technical training program
- Strong problem solving and program management skills
- Understanding of contemporary business practices in finance, marketing, engineering, manufacturing and human resources
- Knowledge of regional business practices and regional customers
- Knowledge of training fundamentals and INPO standards
